4. Setup and Connection

The LEKATO P16 adapters are designed for instant plug-and-play setup with simple pairing and auto-reconnect functionality.

4.1 Single Unit (Mono Setup)

  1. Plug: Insert one LEKATO P16 adapter into an available XLR input on your mixer, active PA speaker, or other audio equipment.
  2. Power On: Press and hold the power button on the P16 adapter until the indicator lights illuminate.
  3. Connect: On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet, laptop, etc.), navigate to the Bluetooth settings. Search for and select "P16" from the list of available devices to pair.
  4. Play: Once connected, stream your audio wirelessly from your device. The P16 will deliver mono audio playback.

4.2 Dual Units (Stereo Setup)

If you have two LEKATO P16 adapters, you can set them up for stereo audio playback.

  1. Plug: Insert the first P16 adapter into the left XLR input and the second P16 adapter into the right XLR input of your audio mixer or PA system.
  2. Pairing the Adapters: The adapters should automatically pair with each other when powered on within range. One unit will act as the master (green power button LED) and the other as the slave (red power button LED).
  3. Power On: Press and hold the power button on both P16 adapters until the indicator lights illuminate.
  4. Connect: On your Bluetooth-enabled device, navigate to the Bluetooth settings. Search for and select "P16" from the list of available devices to pair. Your device will connect to the master P16 unit, which then transmits the stereo signal to the slave unit.
  5. Play: Once connected, stream your audio wirelessly from your device. The P16 system will deliver stereo audio playback.

  • A maximum of 4 sets of transmitters and receivers can be used in the same place simultaneously.
  • The Bluetooth name for pairing is "P16".

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

To power on, press and hold the power button (located on the front of the unit) until the indicator lights activate. To power off, press and hold the power button again until the lights turn off. It is recommended to turn off the adapters when not in use to conserve battery life.

5.2 Bluetooth Connection

Once powered on, the P16 adapter(s) will automatically enter pairing mode. Search for "P16" on your Bluetooth device and connect. The adapter supports auto-reconnect with previously paired devices.

5.3 Audio Playback

After successful connection, you can stream audio from your device. The P16 provides high-fidelity wireless audio with a wide frequency response of 20Hz-20kHz.

5.4 Range and Performance

The P16 offers a reliable wireless range of up to 165 feet (50 meters). For optimal performance, ensure a clear line of sight between your Bluetooth device and the P16 adapter(s). Obstructions can affect transmission distance and audio quality.

5.5 Battery Status

The power indicator light will flicker when the battery is low. This may affect transmission distance and audio quality. Please charge the device promptly when the indicator flickers.

6. Charging the Device

The LEKATO P16 features a built-in rechargeable lithium battery.

  1. Connect a USB-C charging cable to the USB-C port on the side of the P16 adapter.
  2. Connect the other end of the USB-C cable to a suitable USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter).
  3. The device supports quick charging, with a full charge typically taking about 2 hours.
  4. A fully charged adapter provides up to 15-20 hours of battery life, depending on usage volume, codec, and environmental conditions.

7. Maintenance and Care

  • Cleaning: Clean the device only with a dry cloth. Do not use alcohol or other cleaning fluids.
  • Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and excessive dust. Avoid violent vibrations or shock.
  • Battery Care: Due to the self-discharge characteristic of lithium batteries, please charge the battery every 2 months to avoid low battery protection and prolong its lifespan. The lithium battery capacity will decrease gradually after repeated charge and discharge cycles.
  • Environmental Disposal: This product should not be disposed of with household waste. It must be taken to a collection center licensed for the recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE Directive 2012/19/EU). Proper disposal contributes to the efficient use of natural resources and prevents potential negative impacts on the environment and human health.
