1. Introduction
The SONOFF Orb-ZBW1L ZBMINIL2-E is a Zigbee 3.0 1-gang smart wall switch designed for modern smart homes. It operates without the need for a neutral wire, supporting loads up to 6A. This smart switch allows you to customize on/off schedules and integrates seamlessly with other SONOFF devices within a smart scene, enhancing your home automation experience. It supports remote control, smart scheduling, and smart scene integration.
Note: A Zigbee Hub is required for the operation of this device. The Orb-ZBW1L is a Zigbee End-Device.

WARNING:
- Installation and maintenance of this device must be performed by a professional electrician.
- To prevent electric shock hazards, do not connect or contact the terminal connector while the device is powered on.
- Ensure that either a Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB) or a Residual Current operated Circuit-breaker with Integral Overcurrent protection (RCBO) with an electrical rating of 6A has been installed before the ZBMINIL2-E to ensure electrical safety.
- Make sure all wires are connected correctly before powering on.

- Slow flash (relay in off state): Device is in pairing mode.
- Keeps on (relay in open state): Connected to the gateway normally.
- Fast flash (relay in on state): Network connection abnormal, Orb-ZBW1L is connected to the parent device normally, but the router is disconnected from the gateway.
- Slow flash (relay in on state): Network connection abnormal, Orb-ZBW1L is disconnected from the parent device.

5. Installation
5.1. Power Off
Before beginning any installation, ensure the main power supply to the circuit is turned off at the circuit breaker to prevent electric shock.
5.2. Wiring Instructions
Refer to the wiring diagram below for correct connection. Ensure all wires are securely connected.

5.3. Mounting
Once wired, carefully place the switch module into the mounting box and secure it. Attach the front panel.


6. Setup and Pairing
6.1. Power On
After completing the installation and wiring, restore power to the circuit. The device will automatically enter pairing mode during its first use, and the LED signal indicator will flash slowly.
If the device exits pairing mode (after 3 minutes of inactivity) or you need to re-enter pairing mode, long press any button on the device for 5 seconds until the signal light flashes slowly, then release.
Note: While in pairing mode, the device will remain in the off state and cannot be controlled by its button or external switch.
6.2. Add Device to eWeLink App
Follow these steps to add your SONOFF Orb-ZBW1L to the eWeLink app:
- Download the eWeLink App: If you haven't already, download the "eWeLink" App from Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
- Open the App and Enter "Scan": In the eWeLink app, navigate to the device addition section and select the "Scan" option.
- Scan the QR Code: Scan the QR code located on the device or its packaging.
- Select "Add Device": Confirm adding the device in the app.
- Select the Zigbee Hub: Choose your compatible SONOFF Zigbee Hub from the list.
- Wait for Device Discovery: The app will search for and find the device. Wait until the addition process is complete.

6.3. Compatible SONOFF Gateways
Recommended SONOFF gateway models include: ZBBridge-P, ZBBridge-U, NSPanel Pro, iHost.
Other compatible SONOFF gateway models include: ZBDongle-P, ZBDongle-E.


7. Operating Instructions
7.1. Manual Control
Press the physical button on the switch to manually turn the connected light on or off.
7.2. App Control
Once paired with the eWeLink app, you can control the switch remotely from your smartphone or tablet. The app allows for:
- Turning lights on/off.
- Setting personalized schedules and countdown timers to automate your lights.
- Creating smart scenes to interact with other SONOFF devices.
- Group control for multiple switches in different rooms.


7.3. Voice Control
The Orb-ZBW1L supports voice control through Amazon Alexa and Google Home when connected to a compatible Zigbee hub and linked to the eWeLink app.

7.4. Smart Scenes and Automation
Integrate the Orb-ZBW1L into smart scenes for automated actions based on triggers from other smart devices (e.g., door sensors, motion sensors).

7.5. Matter Enabled
The Orb-ZBW1L can be seamlessly integrated with the Matter ecosystem. To enable this, ensure your Zigbee Bridge Ultra and the Matter hub are in the same Local Area Network (LAN).

8. Maintenance
- Keep the device clean and dry.
- Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures or humidity.
- Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the device yourself. Contact support if issues arise.
9. Troubleshooting
9.1. LED Indicator Status
- Slow flash (relay off state): Device is in pairing mode. If not intending to pair, check for accidental button presses or re-add the device.
- Keeps on (relay open state): Device is connected to the gateway normally. No action needed.
- Fast flash (relay on state): Network connection abnormal. Orb-ZBW1L is connected to the parent device normally, but the router is disconnected from the gateway. Check your router and gateway connection.
- Slow flash (relay on state): Network connection abnormal. Orb-ZBW1L is disconnected from the parent device. Check the parent device (Zigbee hub) status and proximity.
9.2. Device Not Responding
- Ensure the device is powered on and the circuit breaker is not tripped.
- Check the LED indicator for status.
- Verify that your Zigbee hub is online and functioning correctly.
- Ensure the device is within range of your Zigbee hub or a Zigbee router.
- Try performing a factory reset if other steps fail.
10. Factory Reset
To restore the SONOFF Orb-ZBW1L to its factory default settings, perform one of the following actions:
- Press and hold the device button for 5 seconds: This will put the device into pairing mode, effectively resetting its network configuration.
- Quickly perform 5 cycles of "ON→OFF": This action will also trigger a factory reset and put the device into pairing mode.
- Delete the device on eWeLink: Removing the device from the eWeLink app will also initiate a factory reset.
11. User Tips
- For optimal performance, ensure your Zigbee hub is centrally located within your home.
- Consider using Zigbee repeater devices if you have a large home or experience connectivity issues.
- Regularly check the eWeLink app for firmware updates to ensure your device has the latest features and security enhancements.
