12. Troubleshooting
Common issues and their solutions.
- Q: Why can't earphones pair with my mobile phone?
- A: Please check if your earphone is in pairing mode or re-connection mode. Ensure the Bluetooth search function of your Bluetooth device is turned on. If all steps are done, go to the Bluetooth menu of your device, delete/ignore the earphone's Bluetooth pairing name, then try to reconnect according to the pairing steps.
- Q: Why is the connection not stable and cuts out intermittently?
- A: Please check for any metal materials or obstacles within a relatively close range or in your surroundings that might interfere with the Bluetooth connection. Bluetooth is a radio technology sensitive to objects between the earphone and other devices. Changing the environment or re-pairing can solve the problem.
- Q: What can I do if there is only one earphone producing sound?
- A: Place both earphones into the charging case, close the case, and take them out again to check if both produce sound. If only one earphone still has sound, please perform a factory reset for both earphones.
- Q: Why do I experience a delay in video watching or game playing?
- A: Affected by factors such as environment, network, and mobile phone codec, there will be varying degrees of delay when the mobile phone transmits audio data to the earphone.
- Q: Why can't my earphone turn on?
- A: Please recharge it and make sure it has enough battery power. If it is fully charged and still nothing happens, or if you are not able to charge the unit, please contact customer support.
- Q: How to solve the problem that there is no sound when listening to music or calling?
- A: On Android phones, there is a settings icon on the right side of the Bluetooth connection name. Click to enter, turn off the mobile phone audio and media audio, and then turn them on again. If there is still no sound, please re-pair the earphones with the mobile phone.
13. User Tips
Maximize your experience with these helpful tips:
- Firmware Updates: Regularly check for and install the latest firmware updates via the QCY app (version 2.0.22 or later recommended) for improved performance and new features.
- LDAC Audio Quality: For the best high-resolution audio experience, use playback devices that support LDAC and audio sources with resolutions of 96kHz/24bit or higher.
- LDAC Performance: Due to high-bitrate transmission, enabling LDAC may increase power consumption and cause choppy audio. Consider disabling LDAC in low battery situations or environments with complex wireless signals (e.g., airports, train stations). Note that iOS devices do not support LDAC.
- Dual-Device & LDAC: If using LDAC with two devices simultaneously, switch the LDAC mode to 'Adaptive' or 'Focus on Connection Quality' in the app. Setting it to 'Focus on Audio Quality' (990kBps) with dual-device connection may lead to unstable connections due to excessive data transmission.
- Wind Noise Cancellation: This feature can be enabled/disabled in the QCY app after ANC is activated. If both ANC and wind noise cancellation are enabled, wind noise cancellation takes precedence.
- Initial Charge: Fully charge the earbuds before first-time use. If unused for over two weeks, recharge them.
