1. Introduction
The Beok BOT-R3X-WIFI is a wireless smart thermostat system designed to provide intelligent temperature control for various heating and cooling systems, including gas boilers, water heating, electric heating, and heat pumps. It consists of a thermostat unit and a receiver unit, communicating wirelessly via RF433MHz. The system offers convenient control through a mobile application and voice assistants like Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Yandex Alice.

2. Setup
2.1 Components
- Thermostat Unit: The main control interface with display and buttons.
- Receiver Unit: Connects to your heating/cooling system and communicates wirelessly with the thermostat.
- USB Type-C Cable: For powering the thermostat (optional).
2.2 Power Input Configuration
The thermostat unit offers flexible power options:
- Battery-powered: Uses 3 AAA alkaline batteries (not included).
- USB-powered: Connects via the included USB Type-C cable.
The receiver unit requires AC100-240V 50/60Hz power supply.

2.3 Wireless Connection
The thermostat and receiver communicate wirelessly using RF433MHz technology, providing a transmission distance of up to 30 meters. This allows the thermostat to be placed in a convenient location within your home, while the receiver is connected directly to your heating system.

2.4 Mounting Options
The thermostat unit can be used with its included desktop stand or can be wall-mounted directly with screws (no junction box required). The receiver unit is typically wall-mounted near your heating system.

2.5 Wiring of the Receiver
WARNING: Electrical wiring should only be performed by a qualified electrician. Ensure power is OFF before wiring.
The receiver unit connects to your heating/cooling system. Refer to the diagram below for typical wiring configurations. The receiver has terminals for Neutral (N), Live (L), Motor (M), Normally Open (NO), Common (COM), Normally Closed (NC), NO1, and NC1.

- Boiler Connection: Connect the boiler control wires to the appropriate NO/COM or NC/COM terminals as required by your boiler's specifications.
- Pump Connection: Connect the pump control wires to the appropriate terminals.
- Actuator Connection: Connect Normally Open (NO Actuator) or Normally Closed (NC Actuator) devices to the corresponding terminals.
3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Display Icons
Familiarize yourself with the icons on the thermostat display:

- Wi-Fi Connected: Indicates successful connection to your Wi-Fi network.
- Cooling Mode: Snowflake icon, indicates the system is in cooling mode.
- Heating Mode: Sun icon, indicates the system is in heating mode.
- Room Temperature: Current ambient temperature.
- Set Temperature: Desired temperature setting.
- Power On/Off: Power status indicator.
- Manual/Auto: Indicates whether the thermostat is in manual or automatic (programmed) mode.
- Output On: Indicates the heating/cooling system is actively running.
- Frost On: Indicates anti-freeze function is active.
- Key Locked: Indicates child lock is engaged.
3.2 Basic Operation
- Power On/Off: Press the power button (U icon) to turn the thermostat on or off.
- Mode Selection (Manual/Auto): Press the 'M' button to switch between Manual and Automatic (programmed) modes.
- Temperature Adjustment: Use the up (▲) and down (▼) arrows to adjust the set temperature.
3.3 App Control (Tuya Smart / Smart Life)
Download the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app from your mobile app store. Follow the in-app instructions to connect your thermostat to your home Wi-Fi network. The app provides comprehensive control and advanced features:

- Remote Control: Adjust settings from anywhere.
- Weekly Programmable: Set up to 6 time periods per day with different temperature settings. Choose between 5+2, 6+1, or 7-day schedules. Programming can be copied to other days of the week for convenience.
- Device Sharing: Share control with family members.
- Child Lock: Enable/disable the child lock feature to prevent unauthorized changes.
- Anti-freeze Function: Automatically maintains a minimum temperature to prevent pipes from freezing.
- Temperature Calibration: Fine-tune the temperature sensor for accuracy.
- Open Window Detection: Automatically turns off heating when a sudden drop in temperature (indicating an open window) is detected, saving energy.

3.4 Voice Control
The thermostat is compatible with popular voice assistants. Link your Tuya Smart or Smart Life account to:
- Amazon Alexa
- Google Assistant
- Yandex Alice
Use voice commands to adjust temperature, change modes, or inquire about the current temperature.
3.5 Heating and Cooling Modes
The thermostat supports both heating and cooling systems. The display will show a sun icon for heating mode and a snowflake icon for cooling mode.
- Heating: Compatible with gas boilers, water heating, electric heating, and heat pumps.
- Cooling: Compatible with air source heat pumps. Dry-contact boilers typically only support heating.

3.6 Screen On/Off Behavior
- Battery-powered: The display turns off automatically after 15 seconds of inactivity to conserve battery. Tap anywhere on the screen to wake it up.
- USB-powered: The screen is always on by default. You can configure a 'Night Mode' in the app to turn off the display during specified inactive periods (e.g., 23:00 to 06:00). A light tap will wake the screen during Night Mode.

4. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the thermostat and receiver with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Battery Replacement: If using batteries, replace them when the low battery indicator appears on the display. Ensure correct polarity.
- Firmware Updates: Keep the Tuya Smart/Smart Life app updated to receive notifications for any available firmware updates for your thermostat, which can improve performance and add new features.
- Avoid Obstructions: Ensure the thermostat is not obstructed by furniture or curtains, which could affect its temperature readings.
5. Troubleshooting
- Thermostat not responding:
- Check battery level or USB power connection.
- Ensure the thermostat and receiver are within the 30m RF range.
- Verify the receiver has power.
- No Wi-Fi connection:
- Ensure your Wi-Fi router is working and the signal is strong where the thermostat is located.
- Confirm you are connecting to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network (5GHz is not supported).
- Restart your router and the thermostat, then try connecting again via the app.
- Heating/Cooling system not turning on/off:
- Check the wiring connections at the receiver unit (refer to Section 2.5).
- Ensure the thermostat is in the correct mode (Heating/Cooling) and the set temperature is appropriate.
- Verify the 'Output On' icon is displayed on the thermostat.
- Inaccurate temperature reading:
- Ensure the thermostat is not exposed to direct sunlight, drafts, or heat sources.
- Use the temperature calibration feature in the app to adjust the reading if necessary.

- For optimal battery life, consider using the USB Type-C power option if a power outlet is conveniently located.

- If experiencing connectivity issues, ensure your Wi-Fi router is broadcasting a 2.4GHz signal, as 5GHz networks are not supported by the thermostat.
