Setup

1. Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
  2. Slide the battery cover downwards or in the direction indicated by the arrow to open it.
  3. Insert two AAA batteries (not included), ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
  4. Close the battery cover by sliding it back into place until it clicks securely.

2. Initial Use

The remote control uses Infrared (IR) communication. Point the remote directly at your Hisense Smart TV's IR receiver. No pairing is typically required for standard IR remotes; it should work immediately after battery installation.

Button Functions:

Button Description
Power (Power button icon) Turns the TV on or off.
Input (Input button icon) Selects the input source (HDMI, AV, etc.).
Navigation Pad (Up, Down, Left, Right, OK) Navigates menus and confirms selections.
Back (Back button icon) Returns to the previous menu or screen.
Exit Exits the current menu or application.
Home (Home button icon) Accesses the Smart TV home screen.
Volume Up/Down (VOL +/-) Adjusts the TV volume.
Channel Up/Down (CH +/-) Changes TV channels.
Mute (Mute button icon) Mutes or unmutes the TV sound.
Subtitle Toggles subtitles on/off.
Info Displays program information.
Text Accesses teletext services (if available).
Numeric Keypad (0-9) Direct channel selection or data entry.
Guide Opens the Electronic Program Guide (EPG).
CH.LIST Displays the channel list.
Dedicated App Buttons Direct access to streaming services like Disney+, YouTube, Prime Video, Rakuten TV, Netflix, VIDAA, and Apps. Model ERF2AA36H also includes a 'Kid' and 'NBA' button.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Remote Control

To clean your remote control, gently wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners, alcohol, or abrasive materials, as these can damage the surface or internal components.

Battery Replacement

Replace batteries when the remote control's response becomes sluggish or stops working. Always replace both batteries at the same time with new ones of the same type (AAA). Do not mix old and new batteries or different types of batteries.

Storage

When not in use for extended periods, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and potential damage to the remote control.

Troubleshooting
