1. Safety Instructions

Please read this manual carefully before use and keep it for future reference.

  • The projector is not dustproof or waterproof.
  • To reduce the risk of fire and electric shock, do not expose the projector to rain and fog.
  • Please use the original power adapter. The projector should work under specified rated power supply.
  • When the projector is working, please do not look directly into the lens. The strong light will flash your eyes and cause slight pain. Children should use the projector under the supervision of adults.
  • Do not cover the vents of the projector. Heating will reduce the life of the projector and cause danger.
  • Regularly clean projector vents, or dust may cause cooling malfunction.
  • Do not use the projector in greasy, damp, dusty or smoky environments. Oil or chemicals will cause malfunction.
  • Please handle with care during daily use.
  • Please cut off the power if the projector is out of use for a long time.
  • Non-professionals are forbidden to disassemble the projector for testing and maintenance.

Attention: Please do not look directly into the lens when projecting to prevent the strong light doing harm to your eyes. Kids should use the projector under the supervision of adults.

2. Product Overview

2.1 Structure Description

The Magcubic HY350GT projector features a compact design with essential ports and ventilation for optimal performance.

Key components include the lens, speaker, air inlet, and various ports for connectivity. The device also features vents for heat dissipation.

2.2 Remote Control Functions

The included remote control allows for easy navigation and control of the projector's functions.

Note: When playing a video, pressing the "MENU" key can bring up the Display Settings, where you can adjust the Picture Mode, Contrast, Hue, Saturation, and Sharpness for the video.

3. Setup

3.1 Initial Placement and Power

Place the projector on a stable, flat surface. Ensure adequate ventilation around the device. Connect the original power adapter to the projector and a power outlet.

The projector supports 180° free rotation, allowing for flexible placement and projection onto ceilings or walls. It is designed for effortless portability.

3.2 Networking Setting (Wi-Fi)

To connect to the internet:

  1. Go to Settings -> Networking Setting -> WIFI setting.
  2. Turn WIFI to "ON".
  3. Select your objective WIFI ID from the list.
  4. Input the password to connect to the internet.

The projector supports Dual-Band Wi-Fi 5 (2.4G & 5G) for buffer-free streaming.

3.3 Bluetooth Setting

To pair Bluetooth devices:

  1. Go to Settings -> BT setting.
  2. Turn BT to "ON".
  3. Click Refresh Device and choose the objective device to pair.

The projector is Bluetooth 5.1 compatible.

3.4 HDMI Connection

After connecting the projector to another output device via HDMI, enter the HDMI or Audio/Video input source on the projector.

3.5 Wireless Screen Mirroring

To mirror your Android device screen:

  1. Ensure that your Android device (phone, tablet, etc.) is on the same local wireless LAN as the projector.
  2. On the projector, navigate to Home Screen -> My Apps -> ScreenCast.
  3. Open the ScreenCast service.
  4. On your Android device, activate the phone mirroring connection feature.

The projector supports Miracast and AirPlay for wireless screen sharing.

4. Operation

4.1 App Store

The built-in App Store allows for one-click installation of applications. Once installed, applications can be used directly. The projector comes with a built-in system and 4K TV Stick, providing access to popular streaming apps and official content.

The single remote controls both the projector and the built-in TV Stick, and supports Google Assistant for hands-free search and playback commands.

4.2 Projection Settings

Access projection settings via Settings -> Projection settings. Here you can configure:

  • Projection mode
  • Display settings
  • Installation mode
  • Digital scaling
  • Auto Four Corner Correction
  • Auto Focus
  • Manual trapezoidal correction
  • Reset trapezoidal correction

The projector features 3-second fast and precise auto-focusing, automatic keystone correction, intelligent obstacle avoidance, and screen recognition for real-time image optimization.

4.3 Language Setting

To change the language or input method:

  1. Go to Settings -> Language Setting.
  2. Enter to setup language and select input method.

4.4 Date and Time Setting

To adjust date and time settings:

  1. Go to Settings -> Date And Time Setting.
  2. Enter to set Date, Time, and Use 24-hour format.

4.5 Other Settings

In Settings -> Other Settings, you can find options for:

  • Button sound
  • Screen saver (set time, exit by pressing any key)
  • Timed shutdown
  • Restore factory settings

System information (UI version, Resolution, Running memory, Storage space, Local upgrade) can be found under Settings -> System information.

5. Maintenance

  • **Cleaning Vents**: Regularly clean the projector vents to prevent dust accumulation, which can lead to cooling malfunctions and reduce the projector's lifespan.
  • **General Care**: Handle the projector with care during daily use. Avoid using it in greasy, damp, dusty, or smoky environments, as oil or chemicals can cause malfunctions.
  • **Power Management**: Cut off the power if the projector is not in use for a long time.
  • **No Disassembly**: Non-professionals are forbidden to disassemble the projector for testing and maintenance.

6. Troubleshooting

This section provides solutions to common issues you might encounter.

6.1 General Issues

  • **No Power**: Ensure the original power adapter is securely connected to both the projector and a working power outlet.
  • **No Image**: Check the input source (HDMI, Wireless Screen) is correctly selected. Ensure the lens cap is removed.
  • **Blurry Image**: Use the ELECTRONIC FOCUS button on the remote or navigate to Projection settings -> Auto Focus to adjust. Ensure the projection surface is flat.
  • **Distorted Image (Trapezoid)**: Use Auto Four Corner Correction or Manual trapezoidal correction in Projection settings.
  • **No Sound**: Check the volume (VOL+/- on remote) and ensure the audio output is correctly configured. If using external speakers, ensure they are connected and powered.
  • **Wi-Fi/Bluetooth Connectivity Issues**: Ensure the projector is within range of the network/device. Re-scan for networks/devices in Networking Setting or BT setting.
  • **Overheating**: Ensure projector vents are not covered and are clean. Operate in a well-ventilated area.

6.2 System Reset

If you experience persistent software issues, you may try restoring factory settings via Settings -> Other Settings -> Restore factory settings. Note that this will erase all personal data and settings.
