3. Product Overview
3.1 Front Panel
- 3.5mm Headphone Jack: For connecting headphones with a 3.5mm plug.
- 6.35mm Headphone Jack: For connecting headphones with a 6.35mm plug.

- Connect Output Device:
- For headphones: Plug your headphones into either the 3.5mm or 6.35mm jack on the front panel. Ensure the Output Toggle Switch is in the 'Headphone Amplifier Output' (down) position.
- For active speakers or power amplifier + passive speakers: Connect the RCA outputs on the rear panel to your active speakers or power amplifier. Ensure the Output Toggle Switch is in the 'RCA Line Output' (up) position.
- Connect Power: Connect the DC 5V power adapter to the Power Input port on the rear panel and then plug it into a power outlet.
- Power On: Press the Power Switch on the front panel to turn on the DAC-A7.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Power On/Off and Input Selection
- Power On: Short press the Volume/Mode Switch Knob to power on the device.
- Switch Input Mode: Short press the Volume/Mode Switch Knob repeatedly to cycle through input modes (Coaxial, Optical, USB, Bluetooth). The corresponding LED indicator will light up.
- Power Off: Long press the Power Switch button to turn off the device.
5.2 Volume Control
- Rotate the Volume/Mode Switch Knob to adjust the volume.
- Volume Mode Memory: The DAC-A7 automatically remembers the last used input mode and volume level. After powering on, no readjustment is needed.
- Volume Control Logic: Long press the Volume/Mode Switch Knob to switch between two volume modes: Unified Volume (global adjustment) and Independent Volume (memorized per mode). The VMI LED indicates the current volume mode.
5.3 Output Mode Switching
The DAC-A7 features a convenient toggle switch to select between headphone output and RCA line output:
- Headphone Amplifier Output: Toggle the switch down to enable headphone output.
- RCA Line Output: Toggle the switch up to enable RCA line output for active speakers or external amplifiers.
5.4 Bluetooth Pairing
- Switch the input mode to Bluetooth (BT). The BT indicator LED will flash, indicating it's in pairing mode.
- On your mobile device (phone, tablet, etc.), search for Bluetooth devices and select "AIYIMA DAC-A7".
- Once connected, the BT indicator LED will glow solid.
- To clear the Bluetooth pairing list, long-press the Volume/Mode Switch Knob while in Bluetooth mode.
