4.2 Network Setup (Pairing)
This product requires a Zigbee 3.0 gateway for smart functionality. For HomeKit integration, a compatible Aqara hub (e.g., Aqara M1S (2022 version), Aqara E1, or air conditioner companion P3) is necessary.
- Add Gateway: Follow the instructions in your Aqara gateway's user manual to add the gateway to the Aqara Home app.
- Initiate Device Pairing: Open the Aqara Home app. On the homepage, tap the '+' icon in the upper right corner to enter the 'Add Device (Accessory)' page.
- Select and Pair: Find and select the corresponding downlight or spotlight model from the list and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the pairing process.
- Automatic Networking: When the device is not yet connected to a network, it will automatically enter networking mode upon power-on. There is no need to repeatedly cycle the power switch for reset.
- Troubleshooting Pairing: If pairing fails, move the gateway closer to the downlight/spotlight, ensure both are powered on, and try again.
4.3 Verify Effective Communication
To confirm that the device is effectively communicating with the gateway:
- Continuously cycle the power supply of the light's driver ON and OFF 3 times using the physical power switch. The gateway should emit a prompt tone, indicating successful communication.
