2. Product Overview

The Baseus EM2 Ergonomic Wireless Mouse features a comfortable design, dual connectivity, customizable buttons, and adjustable DPI settings.

3. Setup and Connection

3.1. 2.4G Mode Connection

  1. Take out the USB receiver from the bottom of the mouse and insert it into your device's USB port.
  2. Switch the connection mode on the mouse to 2.4G using the mode switch.
  3. Move the mouse until the cursor appears on the screen.

3.2. Bluetooth Mode Connection

  1. Switch the connection mode on the mouse to BT (Bluetooth) using the mode switch.
  2. Press and hold the DPI/Bluetooth Pairing Button for 2 seconds. The power indicator will flash quickly, indicating the mouse is in pairing mode.
  3. Turn on Bluetooth on your device (computer, tablet, or phone).
  4. Search for "Baseus Editor lite" in the list of available Bluetooth devices and select it to pair.

3.3. DPI Adjustment

The mouse features 5 adjustable DPI levels for precise control:

  • Short press the DPI/Bluetooth Pairing Button to cycle through the DPI settings.
  • The indicator light will flash corresponding to the selected DPI level.
  • Available DPI levels: 800, 1200, 2000 (default), 3000, 4000.

Adjust DPI sensitivity for different tasks: 800DPI for daily work, 1200DPI for web browsing, 2000DPI for entertainment, 3000DPI for 2K monitors, 4000DPI for high-standard monitors.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Customizable Shortcut Buttons

The Baseus EM2 mouse has two customizable shortcut buttons. By default, Button 1 is set to 'Show Desktop' and Button 2 is set to 'Lock Screen'.

You can customize these buttons to perform various functions, including:

  • Select All, New, Open, Save, Cut, Copy, Paste, Undo, Back, Forward
  • Lock Screen, Show Desktop, Screenshot, Open File Explorer, Open Calculator
  • Switch Windows, Close Application, Minimize Window, Open Run Dialog

4.2. Customization Process (via Baseus App)

  1. Scan the QR code below to download the Baseus App, then register and log in.
  2. Press and hold Customizable Shortcut Button 1 for 3 seconds. The indicator light will begin to flash, and the mouse will enter App pairing mode.
  3. Turn on Bluetooth on your phone. In the Baseus App, search for "Baseus Editor lite" and link the product to the App.
  4. Select your desired function for each button and save the settings.

4.3. Power Indicator

  • 10-100% Battery: Indicator light is solid blue.
  • Below 10% Battery: Indicator light is red.
  • 1% Battery: Indicator light flashes red 10 times, then the mouse automatically powers off.
  • Sleep Mode: The power indicator is off.

5. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Baseus EM2 mouse, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the mouse. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Storage: Store the mouse in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Charging: Use the provided USB-C cable and a compatible 5V/1A or higher charger. Avoid overcharging.
  • USB Receiver: When not in use, store the USB receiver in its designated slot at the bottom of the mouse to prevent loss.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Mouse not responding: Check the battery level. Ensure the mouse is switched on and correctly connected (2.4G receiver inserted or Bluetooth paired). Try restarting the mouse and your device.
  • Lagging or erratic cursor movement: Ensure the mouse is within the 10m operating range. Check for interference from other wireless devices. Clean the mouse sensor. Adjust DPI settings.
  • Bluetooth pairing issues: Ensure the mouse is in Bluetooth pairing mode (flashing indicator). Turn off and on your device's Bluetooth. Forget the device and try pairing again.
  • Customizable buttons not working: Ensure the Baseus App is installed and the mouse is correctly linked. Re-check the button assignments in the app.
  • Battery not charging: Ensure the USB-C cable is securely connected to both the mouse and the charger. Try a different USB-C cable or charger.
