1. Introduction

The LEKATO MS-20 Wireless In-Ear Monitor System provides stable, interference-free audio transmission for clear monitoring in various professional audio environments. Designed for studios, live performances, singers, and bands, this 2.4GHz IEM system offers a reliable and portable solution for in-ear monitoring. It features a long battery life, OTG support, and the ability to connect one transmitter to multiple receivers, ensuring crystal-clear sound and freedom of movement.

3. Product Overview

Transmitter (TX)

  • 1. Power Button: Long press (3s) to power on/off. Short press to switch Mono/Stereo mode.
  • 2. Pairing Indicator: Shows pairing status.
  • 3. Charging Indicator: Shows charging status.
  • 4. Mono Indicator: Lights up when in Mono mode.
  • 5. Stereo Indicator: Lights up when in Stereo mode.
  • 6. 3.5mm Aux Cable Hole: For musical source input.
  • 7. OTG Port: Connects to mobile phone/iPad via OTG cable.
  • 8. Volume + Button: Increases volume.
  • 9. Volume - Button: Decreases volume.

Receiver (RX)

  • 1. Power Button: Long press (3s) to power on/off. Short press to switch Mono/Stereo mode.
  • 2. Pairing Indicator: Shows pairing status.
  • 3. Charging Indicator: Shows charging status.
  • 4. Mono Indicator: Lights up when in Mono mode.
  • 5. Stereo Indicator: Lights up when in Stereo mode.
  • 6. 3.5mm Earphone Jack: Connect your earphones.

4. Setup Instructions

4.1. Charging the System

Before first use, fully charge the transmitter, receivers, and the charging case.

  • Place the transmitter and receivers into the charging case.
  • Connect the Type-C charging cable to the charging case and a 5V 2A power adapter (not included).
  • The charging indicators on the units and the digital display on the case will show charging progress.
  • A full charge takes approximately 3 hours for the units. The charging case can provide up to 2 full charges for 1 TX + 2 RX units, offering a total usage time of up to 30 hours.

4.2. Initial Pairing

The units are designed for auto-pairing. Follow these steps for initial setup:

  1. Turn on the Transmitter: Press and hold the power button on the transmitter for 3 seconds.
  2. Turn on the Receiver: Press and hold the power button on the receiver for 3 seconds.
  3. Initiate Pairing: Press the power button of the receiver 3 times quickly to enter pairing mode.
  4. Auto-Pairing: A green light on both units indicates successful pairing. The system will auto-pair for subsequent uses.

4.3. Connecting to an Audio Source (Transmitter)

  • Using 3.5mm Aux: Connect the 3.5mm TRS Audio Cable from your audio source (e.g., mixer, sound card, guitar amp) to the 3.5mm Aux Cable Hole (6) on the transmitter. Use the 3.5mm to 6.35mm adapter if your source requires a 6.35mm jack.
  • Using OTG USB Input: For smartphones or USB-C devices, connect the OTG Cable from your device to the OTG Port (7) on the transmitter. This allows direct plug-and-play audio input.

4.4. Connecting Headphones (Receiver)

  • Plug your 3.5mm earphones into the 3.5mm Earphone Jack (6) on the receiver.
  • Alternatively, if you have Type-C earphones, plug them into the Type-C Earphone/Charging Port (7) on the receiver.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Power On/Off

To power on or off both the transmitter and receiver units, press and hold their respective power buttons for 3 seconds.

5.2. Mono/Stereo Mode Switching

The MS-20 supports both Mono and Stereo audio modes. To switch between modes, short press the power button on either the transmitter or receiver. The corresponding Mono or Stereo indicator light will illuminate.

5.3. Volume Adjustment

Use the Volume + (8) and Volume - (9) buttons on both the transmitter and receiver units to adjust the audio output level to your preference.

5.4. Multi-Receiver Setup (One TX to Many RX)

The LEKATO MS-20 system supports one transmitter sending signals to multiple receivers simultaneously, up to 10 pairs of devices. To add more receivers:

  • Ensure the additional receivers are charged and powered on.
  • Follow the pairing steps (Section 4.2) for each new receiver with the existing transmitter. Once paired, they will automatically connect for future use.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the units. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
  • Storage: Store the system in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the units frequently. Charge them regularly, even if not in use for extended periods.
  • Avoid Impact: Protect the units from drops and impacts, which can damage internal components.
