4. Setup and Installation
4.1 Wiring Sequence
- Connect the battery to the charge controller.
- Connect the DC load to the charge controller.
- Connect the solar panel(s) to the charge controller.
WARNING: Always connect the battery first and disconnect the solar panel first to avoid damaging the controller.
4.2 PV Input Configuration
The IT-NC G3 series offers different PV input configurations based on the model:
- 50A / 60A / 75A models: Feature ONLY 1 PV input.
- 80A / 100A models: Support 2 PV inputs.

4.3 Multi-unit Parallel Connection
The controller supports up to 6 units working in parallel for flexible system extension. This can be done with or without a battery.

- In parallel applications, the PV side and load side of each controller must be independent.
- In the same parallel system, the product model must be the same, but the ID must be different.
- Parallel communication cable must be connected between parallel units, and the parallel communication ports of the first and last controllers need to be connected to the terminal resistor.
- Communication cable (CC-RJ45-RJ45-120) and terminal resistor (RJ45-CAN-R120) are optional.
- The parallel communication cables do not cross with the PV, battery input cables or AC output cables, otherwise the parallel communication may be interfered.
4.4 Charge Enable Terminal
The 'Charge Enable Terminal' is a standard accessory. When parameters 'CPE (COM Port Enable)' and 'ROT (Remote ON/OFF Terminal)' are set to ON, you can control PV charging by plugging or removing the 'Charge enable terminal'. When set to OFF, the PV of the device is valid for charging by default, and 'Charge enable terminal' cannot control PV charging or not. Users can maintain or replace battery by unplugging this terminal, and without changing PV connection, more simple and convenient. Battery (with dry contact output) can also control PV charging/discharging.

4.5 BMS and RTS Connections
- BMS-Link Module: For accurate charge/discharge control of Lithium batteries. The cable is an accessory of the BMS-Link module and needs to be customized according to the battery or made by clients.

- RTS-D47K Remote Temperature Sensor: Used for temperature compensation during charging/discharging of lead-acid batteries. The cable is optional and can be replaced by a standard parallel network cable. When connecting RTS-D47K, parameter 'BPRO (BMS Protocol)' should be set to '32' (by default).

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Local Monitoring and Parameter Setting
The integrated LCD screen allows for convenient local monitoring of PV status, battery status, and load status. Most control parameters can be set directly via the LCD screen, eliminating the need for additional accessories. It also features a one-click restore factory default function.

5.2 Load Output Modes
The controller supports 6 load control modes to meet various application needs:
- Manual Mode: Load is controlled manually ON/OFF.
- Sunset Load ON Mode: Load turns on at sunset.
- Sunrise Load ON Mode: Load turns on at sunrise.
- Sunset Load ON + Timer Mode: Load turns on at sunset and stays on for a set duration.
- Timer Mode: Load turns on and off based on a set schedule.
- Always ON Mode: Load remains on continuously. Under Always ON Mode, the load can work 24 hours a day until the battery triggers the over-discharge protection.

5.3 Remote Monitoring
The isolated RS485 communication port allows for firmware upgrades and remote monitoring. Optional Bluetooth, WiFi, or 4G modules can be connected to achieve wireless monitoring and management via a mobile app or PC software.
