Setup

Package Contents

Before you begin, ensure all items are present in the package:

  • 1 x Mini Camera Flash (A10L)
  • 1 x Diffuser
  • 1 x USB A to USB C Cable

Charging the Battery

The A10L features a built-in 800mAh rechargeable lithium battery. Before first use, fully charge the device using the provided USB A to USB C cable.

  1. Connect the USB-C end of the cable to the charging port on the flash unit.
  2. Connect the USB-A end to a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or a computer USB port.
  3. The charging indicator will show the charging status (e.g., red for charging, green for fully charged).

Mounting to Camera

The A10L is designed for standard single contact hot shoe cameras.

  1. Ensure your camera is turned off.
  2. Slide the A10L's hot shoe mount into your camera's hot shoe slot.
  3. Tighten the locking ring or lever on the flash unit to secure it in place.

Compatibility Notes:

  • Compatible with Canon, Nikon, Sony (ZV1, A7iii), Fujifilm (Fuji), Pentax, and Olympus cameras with standard hot shoes.
  • NOT compatible with: Sony ZV-1F, A9III, A99, A77, A350.
  • NOT compatible with: Canon EOS Rebel SL3, 250D, T7, 1500D, 2000D, T100, 3000D, 4000D, 200DII, R7, R6II, R8, R10, R50.
  • NOT compatible with: Fuji X-A3, X100F, X100T.
  • The A10L speedlight does not support TTL (Through The Lens) or camera menu setting functions. It operates in Manual (M) mode only.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off

Locate the power switch on the side of the flash unit. Slide it to the "ON" position to power on, and "OFF" to power off.

Flash Mode (Manual)

The A10L operates exclusively in Manual (M) flash mode. You will need to set the flash power manually.

  • Press the "M/Q" button to cycle through flash power levels: 1/1 (full power), 1/2, 1/4, 1/8.
  • The selected power level will be indicated by LEDs on the unit.
  • After firing, the flash has a recycling time of 0.5-3.5 seconds before it's ready for the next shot.

LED Video Light Mode

The A10L can also function as a continuous LED video light. Note that the flash and the LED fill light cannot be used simultaneously.

  1. To activate the LED light, press the dedicated LED light button (often labeled with a light bulb icon).
  2. Adjusting Brightness: Press the brightness adjustment button (often labeled with +/- or similar) to cycle through 4 dimming levels.
  3. Adjusting Color Temperature: Press the color temperature adjustment button (often labeled with a Kelvin symbol or C/T) to cycle through 4 color temperature settings: 2700K, 4500K, 6000K, and 7500K.

Using the Diffuser

Attach the included diffuser to the front of the flash head to soften the light output, creating more even and natural lighting for portraits and close-up shots.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the flash unit. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. If storing the unit for an extended period, charge it to approximately 50% and recharge every 3-6 months.
  • Storage: Store the flash unit in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and high humidity. Keep it away from dust and moisture.
  • Hot Shoe Contacts: Periodically inspect the hot shoe contacts for dirt or corrosion. Clean gently with a dry, soft cloth if necessary.

Troubleshooting

  • Diffuser not properly attached or used in inappropriate situations.
  • Adjust flash power to a higher setting.
  • Ensure subject is within 3 meters for optimal results.
  • Attach diffuser for softer light; remove for more direct light.
