1. Introduction
The Victor 302B is a professional handheld non-contact infrared thermometer designed for convenient use, strict design, high measurement accuracy, and a broad temperature measurement range. It features laser aiming, a backlit LCD display, an over-temperature alarm, an adjustable emissivity rate, and automatic shutdown. This instrument allows for quick and accurate temperature measurement of objects by simply aiming its probing window.
All objects with a temperature higher than absolute zero transmit infrared radiation energy proportional to their temperature. The distribution of this radiation energy, based on size and wavelength, is closely related to the object's surface temperature. By accurately measuring the infrared transmission energy, the thermometer can determine the precise temperature of the measured object.

To adjust emissivity:
- Press and hold the EMITM key. The instrument will enter the setting interface, and the emissivity value (e.g., "ε=0.95") will flash.
- Press the UP or DOWN keys to adjust the emissivity value.
- Release the EMITM key to save the setting.
5. Operating Instructions
Basic Measurement
- Ensure the thermometer has stabilized for 10 minutes after battery installation or environmental change.
- Aim the temperature detection hole at the object to be measured.
- Press the Measuring Trigger on the handle. The thermometer will start automatically.
- Upon hearing a "beep" sound, the measured temperature will be displayed on the LCD.
Note: Before measurement, select the appropriate emissivity for the object and adjust the measuring distance according to the object's size.

Cleaning
- The protective lens of the probe is the most easily damaged part of an infrared thermometer and must be protected carefully.
- To clean the lens of the probe, wipe it gently with a cotton swab or soft fabric soaked in water or alcohol.
Battery Care
- The battery shall not be charged or thrown into fire.
- Used batteries shall be discarded at specified recycling places.
- Caution: The battery shall be taken out if the product is left unused for a long period.
General Care
- The product shall not be soaked in water or exposed to direct sunshine.
- Do not drop or impact the product heavily, as it may be damaged.
- If the product fails to measure accurately due to incorrect distance or aiming, it is recommended to measure the object again or multiple times.
8. Troubleshooting
No specific troubleshooting steps are provided in the available information. If you encounter issues, please refer to the key functions and LCD signs description for common indicators like low battery or high ambient temperature. For persistent problems, contact customer support.
9. User Tips
Based on general usage of infrared thermometers:
- For best accuracy, ensure the target object fills the measurement spot size. The D:S ratio of 12:1 means that at 12 inches distance, the measurement spot is 1 inch in diameter.
- Always allow the thermometer to acclimate to the ambient temperature of the measurement environment for at least 10 minutes before use.
- Clean the lens regularly to prevent dust or debris from affecting readings.
10. Warranty and Support
A repair guarantee is provided for the product for one year from the date of purchase. Please note that damages resulting from abnormal use or user disassembly are outside the scope of this warranty.
To claim warranty service, please keep your repair warranty card and purchasing credentials. For further assistance or inquiries, please contact customer service.
