6. User Tips
- App Compatibility: For models supporting Bluetooth connectivity (e.g., H8, M5C-2), the companion app is compatible with both Apple and Android mobile operating systems.
- Speed Limit: If your e-bike's controller has a built-in speed limit, the display will only show the speed up to that limit. The display can only lift speed limits if the limitation originates from the display itself. Some specialized versions of the display may support an immediate 25 km/h speed limit.
7. Troubleshooting
Common Issues and Solutions:
- Display Not Working / Abnormal Operation:
- Protocol Mismatch: The F4 display requires a controller with UART 2 protocol. If your controller uses a different protocol (e.g., Bafang, KDS), the display will not function correctly. Verify your controller's protocol by checking its appearance, manual, or contacting the controller's seller.
- Improper Connection: Ensure all cables, especially the 7-Core Connector, are securely and correctly plugged in.
- Speed Display Inaccurate or Limited:
- Controller Speed Limit: If your e-bike's controller has a pre-set speed limit, the display will reflect this limit. The display cannot override a speed limit imposed by the controller.
- Display Speed Setting: Refer to Section 5, 'Adjusting Speed Settings', to ensure the display's internal speed parameter (P08) is set correctly.
Note: Due to the specific nature of e-bike components, we cannot guarantee compatibility with all e-bike models. It is crucial to confirm your controller's protocol (UART 2) before purchase.
8. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Haytrix F4 display, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Gently wipe the display screen and body with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the screen or casing.
- Protection: Keep the display dry and protect it from direct exposure to heavy rain or extreme weather conditions. While designed for outdoor use, excessive moisture can cause damage.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the e-bike and display in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
- Cable Inspection: Periodically check all cables and connectors for any signs of wear, fraying, or damage. Ensure connections remain secure.
