2. Function Switching
The default mode upon power-on is single measurement. Press the Square Grid Button to cycle through the function modes. The sequence is: Area Mode, Volume Mode, Pythagorean Mode, Storage Mode, and Reference Switching Mode.
3. Measurement Modes
- Single Measurement: In single measurement mode, short press the Red 'MEAS' Button to take a measurement. The result will be immediately displayed on the screen.
- Continuous Measurement: After powering on, long press the Red 'MEAS' Button to enter continuous measurement mode.
- Area Measurement: In Area Mode, short press the Red 'MEAS' Button to measure the length of two sides of a rectangle. The calculated area will be displayed on the screen.
- Volume Measurement: In Volume Mode, short press the Red 'MEAS' Button to measure the length of the three sides of a cube. The calculated volume will be displayed on the screen.
- Pythagorean Measurement: In Pythagorean Mode, short press the Red 'MEAS' Button to measure the right-angle side length and the hypotenuse. The calculated height will be displayed on the screen.

4. Unit Switch
Long press the Square Grid Button to switch between measurement units. The available units are meters (m), inches (in), and feet (ft).

5. Reference Switch
The default measurement reference is the back of the device. To change the reference point to the front of the device, short press the Square Grid Button when in Reference Switching Mode. Alternatively, when the equipment is in storage mode (AEF), short press the Red 'MEAS' Button for 3 seconds to switch between front and rear reference.
6. Storage Mode
In Storage Mode, short press the Square Grid Button to view stored measurement data records one by one. To clear the last set of data, press the 'C' Button. The larger the record number, the more recent the measurement value.
7. Tape Measure Usage
