Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the installation and operation of your Smart Tech LED TV. Please read it carefully before use and keep it for future reference.
Safety Information
Important Safety Precautions:
- Read and keep these instructions.
- Heed all warnings and follow all instructions.
- Do not use this apparatus near water.
- Clean only with a dry cloth.
- Do not block any ventilation openings. Install according to manufacturer's instructions.
- Do not install near heat sources like radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other heat-producing apparatus.
- Do not defeat the safety purpose of polarized or grounding-type plugs.
- Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched.
- Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
- Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer. Use caution when moving carts with the apparatus to avoid tip-over injuries.
- Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods.
- Do not expose the apparatus to rain or moisture.
- The mains plug serves as the disconnect device and shall remain readily operable.
- The socket-outlet shall be installed near the equipment and be easily accessible.
- Do not place the apparatus in built-in installations without proper ventilation or adherence to manufacturer's instructions.
- Do not expose the apparatus to dripping or splashing, and do not place liquid-filled objects on it.
- Do not place any sources of danger on the apparatus, such as liquid-filled objects or lighted candles.
- Wall or Ceiling Mounting: Mount only as recommended by the manufacturer.
- Never place the TV, remote control, or batteries near naked flames or other heat sources, including direct sunlight. Keep flames away from the TV, remote, and batteries.
- The USB terminal should be loaded with 0.5 A under normal operation.
- Do not perform any servicing other than that contained in the operating instructions unless qualified.
- Batteries shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire, or the like.
- This equipment is Class II or double insulated and does not require a safety connection to electrical earth.
- Maximum operating temperature: 45°C (113°F).
- Maximum operating altitude: 2000 meters.
Symbols:
- ⚠️: Indicates important information in the accompanying literature.
- ⚡: Indicates the presence of uninsulated dangerous voltage, posing a risk of electric shock.
- CAUTION: RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK ❌ DO NOT OPEN. No user-serviceable parts inside. Refer servicing to qualified personnel.
Installation Guide
Initial Setup:
- Attach Stand: Insert the stand into the bottom of the LED TV body.
- Connect Aerial: Insert the aerial cable into the RF socket (ANT 75 Ω).
- Connect Power: Connect the power cord into a suitable wall socket and switch on the TV.
- Remote Control Battery Installation: Open the battery compartment cover on the rear of the remote control by sliding it down. Insert two 1.5V AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and - aligned). Close the battery compartment cover until it clicks into place. Do not mix old and new batteries or different types.
- Power On: Switch on the TV by pressing the power button located on the TV itself or on the remote control.
- First Time Installation: The TV will automatically enter the 'First Time Installation' setup. Follow the on-screen prompts to select language, country, and perform an automatic channel scan. Alternatively, press MENU on the remote, navigate to SETUP, and select 'First Time Installation'.
Operating the TV
TV Buttons:
One Key Button:
- When no icon is displayed, pressing the button shows icons. The icon display automatically turns off after 5 seconds of inactivity.
- Short press the button to cycle through icons.
- Long press the button to activate the function of the selected icon.
- Icon Descriptions:
- ✔: Power Off Icon (corresponds to the REMOTE's POWER button).
- ☰: Menu Icon (corresponds to the REMOTE's MENU button).
- ▶: Source Icon (corresponds to the REMOTE's SOURCE button).
- ➕: CH+ Icon (corresponds to the REMOTE's CH+ button).
- ➖: CH- Icon (corresponds to the REMOTE's CH- button).
- ?➕: Volume+ Icon (corresponds to the REMOTE's VOL+ button).
- ?➖: Volume- Icon (corresponds to the REMOTE's VOL- button).
Seven Key Buttons:
- Power: Turn ON/OFF.
- SOURCE: Select external signal input.
- MENU/OK: Display Main MENU and confirm selection.
- CH+/-: Select channel.
- VOL+/-: Adjust volume.
Remote Controller Functions:
- POWER: Set your TV to power on or standby mode.
- MUTE: Press to mute the sound. Press again or press VOL+ to unmute.
- NUMBER BUTTONS (0-9): Select a TV channel directly. The channel changes after 2 seconds. Can be used for entering page numbers in teletext mode.
- Return Arrow: Return to the previously viewed program.
- Inputs: Display/Select signal source options.
- P+/-: Press to scan through channels.
- VOL+/-: Press to increase/decrease the sound level.
- MENU: Navigate the on-screen menus.
- THUMBSTICK (Arrow keys with OK): Navigate menus and adjust system settings.
- INFO: Display source and channel information.
- EXIT: Exit the menu or sub-menu and cancel the current function.
- Fast Reverse (◄◄): In PVR or Media Player mode.
- GUIDE (◄◄): Launches the EPG (Electronic Program Guide).
- Play (►II): Play in PVR or Media Player mode.
- TIMESHIFT (►II): DTV channel time shift function.
- Previous Chapter (◄): In PVR or Media Player mode.
- CANCEL (Graphic Mode): When a page is selected in text mode, pressing CANCEL returns to TV mode. If the required page is found, the page number appears on the TV picture; press CANCEL again to return to text mode.
- Fast Forward (►►): In PVR or Media Player mode.
- ASPECT (►►►): Select picture scale.
- Next Chapter (►►►): In PVR or Media Player mode.
- SUB.PG (►►►): Access sub-pages.
- SUBT: Show and set the language of the current DTV broadcast.
- SLEEP: Set the sleep timer.
- TEXT: Switch teletext on and off.
- Record (⚫): Start recording in PVR mode.
- MTS: Search for NICAM modes.
- COLOR BUTTONS: Teletext switch for analog parts, item selection in digital menus, and MHEG5 usage in DVB menus.
- FAV: Open the favorite list to select a favorite channel.
Screwdriver Suggestion for Base Installation
To make base installation more convenient and to avoid the risk of scratches and damage, it is advised to use a PH2 type screwdriver.
Screwdriver Bit Types:
Images show screwdriver bits labeled PH00, PH0, PH1, and PH2. Suitability for use is indicated by 'X' (not suitable) or '✓' (suitable).
Warning on TV Placement and Stability
Never place a television set in an unstable location, as it may fall and cause serious personal injury or death. To prevent injuries, especially to children:
- Use cabinets or stands recommended by the manufacturer.
- Ensure furniture can safely support the television set.
- Do not allow the television set to overhang the edge of the supporting furniture.
- Avoid placing the television set on tall furniture (e.g., cupboards, bookcases) without anchoring both the furniture and the TV to a suitable support.
- Do not place the television set on cloth or other materials between the TV and supporting furniture.
- Educate children about the dangers of climbing on furniture to reach the television set or its controls.
If relocating an existing television set, apply the same considerations.
Wall-Mounting Screw Sizes:
- 22-24 inch TVs: M4 screws
- 28-70 inch TVs: M6 screws
- 75 inch TVs: M8 screws
Note: Do not hang the TV at an angle to avoid the risk of falling off.
Environmental Considerations and Disposal
Disposal of Electrical and Electronic Equipment and Batteries (WEEE):
The symbols [WEEE Symbol for Products] and [WEEE Symbol for Batteries] indicate that this product and its batteries should not be disposed of with household waste. They must be returned to designated collection points for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment and batteries. Proper disposal helps prevent potential damage to the environment and human health and supports material recycling.
