1. Product Overview

The LEOBOG AMG65 is a versatile mechanical keyboard designed for gaming and general computer use. It features a 67-key layout, a unique TFT LED screen, RGB backlighting, and hot-swappable switches. The keyboard supports three connection modes: 2.4G wireless, Bluetooth, and wired USB, offering flexibility across various devices.

3. Setup and Connection

The LEOBOG AMG65 keyboard offers three primary connection methods:

3.1 Wired Connection

  1. Connect the provided USB cable to the keyboard's USB-C port.
  2. Connect the other end of the USB cable to an available USB port on your computer.
  3. The keyboard will be automatically recognized by your operating system.

3.2 2.4G Wireless Connection

  1. Locate the 2.4G wireless receiver (dongle) in the keyboard's packaging.
  2. Plug the 2.4G receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
  3. Switch the keyboard's connection mode to 2.4G wireless (refer to the "Operating Instructions" section for mode switching).
  4. The keyboard should connect automatically.

3.3 Bluetooth Connection

  1. Switch the keyboard's connection mode to Bluetooth (refer to the "Operating Instructions" section for mode switching).
  2. On your computer or device, enable Bluetooth and search for new devices.
  3. Select "LEOBOG AMG65" (or similar name) from the list of available devices.
  4. Follow any on-screen prompts to complete the pairing process.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Connection Mode Switching

The keyboard features a switch or key combination to toggle between wired, 2.4G wireless, and Bluetooth modes. Please consult the specific key combination or physical switch on your keyboard for this function.

4.2 TFT LED Screen Functions

The 1.14-inch high-definition TFT LED sub-screen supports various functions:

  • System Information Display: View real-time system status, battery level, and connection mode.
  • Custom Content Upload: Supports uploading GIF and JPG images for personalized display.

Note: Uploading animations typically takes about 10 minutes. During this process, do not operate the keyboard, unplug the USB cable, or force quit the driver application.

4.3 RGB Backlighting and Customization

The keyboard features RGB backlighting with 315 high-brightness LED lamp beads, offering a wide range of lighting effects. Customization is possible through the LEOBOG self-developed intelligent control driver.

  • Preset Animations: Switch between various pre-installed lighting animations.
  • Custom Effects: Create and customize your own lighting effects.
  • Author Upload: Import and export custom lighting profiles.

4.4 Hot-Swappable Switches

The keyboard features hot-swappable switches, allowing users to easily change switches without soldering. It is compatible with most 3-pin and 5-pin mechanical switches on the market.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

  • Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the keyboard surface.
  • For deeper cleaning, remove keycaps using a keycap puller and use compressed air to clear debris from between switches.
  • Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the keyboard's finish or screen.

5.2 Switch Replacement

  • Use a switch puller to gently remove existing switches.
  • Align the pins of the new switch with the sockets on the PCB and press firmly until it clicks into place. Ensure pins are not bent.

5.3 Battery Care

  • Charge the keyboard using the provided USB cable.
  • Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently to prolong its lifespan.
  • If storing the keyboard for an extended period, charge it to about 50% to 80%.

Note: The dot matrix screen shell is susceptible to scratches; minor scratches are considered normal wear and tear.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Keyboard not responding:
    • Check the connection mode (wired, 2.4G, Bluetooth) and ensure it matches your device.
    • For wireless modes, ensure the keyboard is charged.
    • Try connecting via a different USB port or cable.
  • TFT screen animation upload issues:
    • Ensure no keyboard operations are performed during the 10-minute upload process.
    • Do not unplug the USB cable during upload.
    • Avoid force quitting the driver application while uploading.
  • RGB lighting not working:
    • Ensure the keyboard is powered on.
    • Check lighting settings in the LEOBOG intelligent control driver.
  • Keys not registering:
    • Ensure switches are properly seated in their sockets.
    • If a specific switch is faulty, try replacing it with a spare.
