5. Setup and Installation

The E1GSL enclosure is designed for easy clip-on installation and compatibility with standard mounting boxes. It requires a SONOFF ZBMINL2 In-wall Retrofit Module (sold separately) for full functionality.

5.1 Applicable Mounting Boxes

The E1GSL is compatible with:

• 86-Type Mounting Box
• European Round Mounting Box (Ø 60mm)

5.2 Installation Steps

Always ensure the main power is OFF before starting installation.

1. Remove the Switch Cover: Gently detach the front cover of the E1GSL enclosure.
2. Loosen Wiring Terminal Screws: On your SONOFF ZBMINL2 module, loosen all screws on its wiring terminals.
3. Install Module onto Bracket: Carefully place the ZBMINL2 module onto the back bracket of the E1GSL switch enclosure. Ensure it clips securely into place.
4. Wiring: Connect the necessary wires (L In, N, Load, S1, S2) to the ZBMINL2 module's terminals as per the wiring diagram below. After wiring, tighten all screws on the device's wiring terminals securely.

5.3 Wiring Instructions (for ZBMINL2)

The E1GSL enclosure is designed to work with the SONOFF ZBMINL2, which typically does not require a neutral wire for the switch itself, simplifying installation. Refer to the diagram below for typical wiring connections.

Note: Before wiring, loosen all the screws on the SONOFF In-wall Retrofit Module's wiring terminals. After completing the wiring, tighten the screws securely.

6. Operating Instructions

The SONOFF E1GSL Wall Switch Enclosure provides a physical button interface for the connected SONOFF ZBMINL2 module. Once the ZBMINL2 module is correctly installed and powered, pressing the button on the E1GSL enclosure will trigger the smart switch functionality of the ZBMINL2, allowing you to control the connected load (e.g., lights).

• Single Press: Typically toggles the connected device ON/OFF.
• Long Press/Multiple Presses: Refer to the SONOFF ZBMINL2 user manual for any advanced functions or pairing modes activated by specific button presses.
