1. Introduction

The OBAME Smart Finder is a compact and versatile Bluetooth anti-loss device designed to help you keep track of your valuable items. Utilizing Bluetooth connectivity and a dedicated mobile application, it provides features such as bidirectional loss prevention, one-click search, and location tracking. Its small size and built-in magnet make it easy to attach to various belongings like keys, wallets, bags, and even pets.

2. Setup Guide

2.1. Battery Installation

Before first use, or when replacing the battery, you need to remove the insulating sheet or install a new CR2032 coin cell battery.

  1. Gently open the back cover of the Smart Finder by twisting it counter-clockwise.
  2. Remove the insulating sheet (if present) or the old battery.
  3. Insert a new CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
  4. Align the back cover and twist clockwise to secure it.

2.2. App Download and Pairing

The Smart Finder requires a dedicated application called "iSearching" to function. You can download it from your mobile phone's app store (App Store for iOS or Google Play Store for Android) by scanning the QR code provided in the user manual or searching for "iSearching".

  1. Scan the QR code in the included user manual or search for "iSearching" in your app store to download and install the application.
  2. Open the "iSearching" app on your mobile device.
  3. In the app, tap the "Add" button (usually represented by a "+" icon) to search for new devices.
  4. If the device is not detected, try turning your phone's Bluetooth off and then on again. Repeat the pairing process.
  5. Once detected, the app will connect to the Smart Finder. You can then name the device and configure specific functions within the app.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1. Finding Items

When your Smart Finder is connected to the app, you can easily locate misplaced items:

  • Open the "iSearching" app.
  • Tap the "Play Sound" or "Click Alarm" button within the app. The Smart Finder will emit an audible alarm, guiding you to its location.

3.2. Anti-Loss Alarm

Enable the "Alarm When Bluetooth Disconnected" function in the app settings. If the Smart Finder moves out of Bluetooth range from your phone, both your phone and the Smart Finder will sound an alarm, alerting you to potential loss.

3.3. Location Tracking

The app records the last known location where the Smart Finder was connected to your phone. This helps narrow down the search area if an item is lost. You can view the "Lost History" on the map within the app.

4. Maintenance

4.1. Battery Replacement

The Smart Finder uses a CR2032 coin cell battery. When the battery is low, the device's performance may be affected. Replace the battery following the steps in Section 2.1.

4.2. General Care

  • Keep the device dry. Avoid exposure to moisture or liquids.
  • Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures.
  • Clean the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or cleaning agents.

5. Troubleshooting

7. User Tips

  • **Bluetooth Range**: Be aware that the effective range for the tracker's alarm and real-time proximity detection is limited by Bluetooth technology, typically around 10-50 meters depending on environmental factors. For broader location tracking, the app relies on the last known connected location.
  • **Initial Connection**: If you experience difficulty connecting the device to the app initially, try toggling your phone's Bluetooth off and on a few times. This often resolves connection issues.
