3. Setup Instructions
3.1 Connecting Peripherals
Identify the various ports on your Blackview MP100 Mini PC:
- Power: Connect the power adapter to the 5.5/2.1mm DC Jack on the back of the Mini PC and then to a power outlet.
- Display: Connect your monitor(s) using the Display Port (up to 4K 144Hz), HDMI 2.0 (up to 4K 60Hz), or Type-C ports (up to 4K 60Hz). The MP100 supports up to three displays simultaneously.
- USB Devices: Connect your keyboard, mouse, and other USB devices to the available USB 3.2 Gen2 (10Gbps) or USB 2.0 (480Mbps) ports.
- Audio: Use the 3.5mm Audio-in/out Jack for headphones or speakers.
- Network: For a wired connection, connect an Ethernet cable to the RJ45 LAN port (1000Mbps). For wireless, ensure Wi-Fi 6 is enabled in the operating system.
3.2 VESA Mounting (Optional)
The Blackview MP100 can be mounted behind a monitor using the included VESA bracket to save desk space.
- Attach the VESA bracket to the back of your monitor using the provided screws.
- Secure the Blackview MP100 to the VESA bracket.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Powering On/Off
- To Power On: Press the power button located on the front of the Mini PC. The system will boot into Windows 11 Pro.
- To Power Off: Click the Start button in Windows, then select Power > Shut down. Do not unplug the device directly without proper shutdown to prevent data loss.
- Restart: Click the Start button in Windows, then select Power > Restart.
4.2 Initial Boot and Windows 11 Pro
Your Blackview MP100 comes with Windows 11 Pro pre-installed. On the first boot, you will be guided through the initial Windows setup process, including language selection, network connection, and user account creation.
4.3 Triple Display Setup
The MP100 supports connecting up to three 4K displays simultaneously for enhanced productivity or immersive entertainment.
- Connect your primary monitor to the Display Port for optimal 4K 144Hz refresh rate.
- Connect additional monitors to the HDMI 2.0 port (4K 60Hz) and/or one of the Type-C ports (4K 60Hz).
- Once connected, Windows will automatically detect the displays. You can configure display settings (extend, duplicate, or show only on one) by right-clicking on the desktop and selecting "Display settings".
4.4 RGB Ambient Light
The MP100 features cool RGB ambient lighting. This lighting can enhance your gaming or entertainment experience. Specific controls for the RGB lighting may be available through pre-installed software or system settings.
5. Maintenance
5.1 System Upgrades (RAM & SSD)
The Blackview MP100 offers easy upgradeability for RAM and storage.
- RAM: The device supports dual-channel DDR4 RAM and can be expanded up to 64GB. To upgrade, carefully open the bottom cover of the Mini PC.
- SSD: It supports 512GB/1TB M.2 2280 PCIe 3.0 SSD and can be expanded via dual NVMe SSDs up to 4TB total (2TB per drive). It also supports Max 4TB 2.5" Scalable SSD/HDD.
Caution: Always power off and unplug the Mini PC before performing any internal upgrades. Refer to the diagram below for component locations. If you are unsure, seek professional assistance.
5.2 Cooling System
The MP100 features an ultra-quiet 3-in-1 constant temperature cooling system with an advanced fan, copper heat pipe, and heat sink to ensure optimal performance and low noise levels (typically <20dB during regular use).
To maintain efficient cooling, ensure the vents are not obstructed. Periodically clean dust from the vents using compressed air.
6. Troubleshooting
- No Power: Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to both the Mini PC and a working power outlet. Try a different outlet if necessary.
- No Display: Check all display cable connections (HDMI, DisplayPort, Type-C) to your monitor(s) and the Mini PC. Ensure the monitor is set to the correct input source.
- System Unresponsive: If the system becomes unresponsive, press and hold the power button for 5-10 seconds to force a shutdown. Then restart the device.
- Clear CMOS: If you encounter boot issues or incorrect BIOS settings, locate the "Clear CMOS Button" on the back of the Mini PC (refer to the I/O diagram in Section 3.1). With the device powered off and unplugged, press this button for a few seconds to reset BIOS settings to default.
- Windows Updates: The Blackview MP100 supports all new Windows 11 updates. If you experience issues with updates, ensure you have a stable internet connection and sufficient disk space. You can also run Windows Update Troubleshooter from Windows Settings.
