4. Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning
- Wipe the tail light with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt and debris.

- Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use.
5. Troubleshooting
5.1 'Find My' Location Issues
Figure 7: 'Find My' Location Tracking Notes
- Distance Limit: There is no global distance limit. The device relies on nearby Apple devices (within 10-50 meters) for positioning. It cannot locate itself independently.
- Real-time Positioning: Real-time positioning occurs when Apple devices are nearby. It is recommended for use in urban areas with high concentrations of Apple devices.
- How it Works: The tail light emits a secure Bluetooth signal every two seconds. Nearby Apple devices detect this signal, upload it to the iCloud server, and the location is displayed on your map. More nearby devices lead to faster updates.
- Compatible Devices: Requires an iPhone or iPad with the latest version of iOS, iPadOS, or macOS.
- Suitable Regions: Best for bustling urban areas or places with high Apple device density. Less suitable for remote areas.
- Inaccurate Location: Location updates may be delayed (5-15 minutes) if no Apple devices have passed by recently.
5.2 Light Not Turning On/Charging
- Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the Type-C cable and check for charging indicator lights.
- Verify the charging cable and power adapter are working correctly.
- If the light does not respond, try resetting it by holding the power button for an extended period (e.g., 10-15 seconds).
