4. Maintenance

4.1. Fuse Replacement

The ANENG SZ12 Multimeter is equipped with built-in double fuse tubes (F3A/250V and F20A/250V) to effectively prevent short circuit burning and ensure safer operation. If a fuse is damaged due to current overload:

  1. Ensure the multimeter is powered off and test leads are disconnected.
  2. Unscrew the screws on the back cover and carefully remove it.
  3. Locate the damaged fuse(s) on the circuit board.
  4. Gently remove the damaged fuse(s) using tweezers.
  5. Replace with new fuses of the corresponding model (F3A/250V or F20A/250V).
  6. Reattach the back cover and secure the screws.

4.2. General Care

  • Keep the multimeter clean and dry. Use a soft, damp cloth for cleaning; do not use abrasives or solvents.
  • Store the multimeter in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • If the multimeter will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.

5. Troubleshooting

  • Device freezes or crashes: If the multimeter experiences a 'card' or crash during use, please restart the device by turning the function dial to 'OFF' and then back to the desired measurement mode.
  • No display or dim display: Check battery levels. Replace batteries if low. Ensure the backlight is activated in dim conditions.
  • Incorrect readings: Verify test lead connections are secure and in the correct input jacks for the selected function. Ensure the correct measurement mode is selected.
  • No continuity beep: Check if the continuity function is active. Ensure the circuit or component being tested is de-energized and isolated.
