1. Product Overview

The BLE-YL01 is an advanced solar-powered Wi-Fi swimming pool detector designed to monitor various water quality parameters. This 7-in-1 device provides real-time data for Chlorine (CL), pH, Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), Electrical Conductivity (EC), Oxidation-Reduction Potential (ORP), Salt, and Temperature (TEMP), allowing for comprehensive pool maintenance and water health management.

2. Setup Guide

2.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, ensure the device is adequately charged. The BLE-YL01 supports both solar and USB charging.

  • Solar Charging: Place the device with the solar panel facing direct sunlight. It is designed for automatic charging on sunny days and can maintain charge even in cloudy weather.
  • USB Charging: For faster or initial charging, connect the device to a standard USB power source using the provided USB cable. The USB charging port is located on the side of the device.

2.2 Wi-Fi Connectivity

The BLE-YL01 connects to your home Wi-Fi network, often through a dedicated gateway or directly, to transmit data to a smartphone application. Refer to the specific instructions provided with your device for pairing with the app and connecting to Wi-Fi.

  • Download the official companion app from your device's app store.
  • Follow the in-app instructions to add your BLE-YL01 detector. This typically involves powering on the device and the gateway (if applicable), and following prompts to connect to your Wi-Fi network.

2.3 Calibration

For accurate readings, periodic calibration of the pH and ORP sensors is recommended. The device may come with buffer solutions for this purpose.

  • Prepare the necessary buffer solutions (e.g., pH 4.00, pH 7.00, pH 10.01, ORP 222mV).
  • Follow the calibration procedure outlined in the companion app or detailed instructions. This usually involves rinsing the sensor, immersing it in buffer solutions, and confirming readings.

3. Operating Instructions

Once set up and calibrated, the BLE-YL01 is ready for continuous water quality monitoring.

  • Placement: Gently place the detector into your swimming pool. Ensure it floats freely and the sensors are fully submerged in the water.
  • Monitoring: Open the companion smartphone application to view real-time readings for all 7 parameters: EC, Salt, Chlorine, pH, ORP, TDS, and Temperature.
  • Data Logging: The app typically logs historical data, allowing you to track trends and make informed decisions about pool chemical adjustments.
  • Alerts: Configure alerts within the app for specific parameter thresholds to be notified of any significant changes in water quality.

4. Maintenance

  • Sensor Cleaning: Periodically clean the sensors to remove any buildup of algae, scale, or debris that could affect accuracy. Use a soft brush or cloth and clean water. Avoid abrasive materials.
  • Recharge: Ensure the device receives sufficient sunlight for solar charging. If stored indoors or during prolonged cloudy periods, use the USB charging option.
  • Recalibration: Recalibrate pH and ORP sensors regularly, or if you suspect inaccurate readings, following the procedure in Section 2.3.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, clean the device, ensure it is fully charged, and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

5. Troubleshooting

  • No Readings/Offline:
    • Check if the device is charged.
    • Ensure the Wi-Fi gateway (if separate) is powered on and connected to your network.
    • Verify the device is within range of the Wi-Fi network or gateway.
    • Restart the device and the companion app.
  • Inaccurate Readings:
    • Clean the sensors thoroughly.
    • Perform a full calibration for pH and ORP.
    • Ensure the device is fully submerged and stable in the water.
  • App Connectivity Issues:
    • Ensure your smartphone has a stable internet connection.
    • Update the app to the latest version.
    • Re-pair the device with the app if necessary.
