Buttons and Display
The device features physical buttons for operation: "HOLD/TEMP" (to hold readings or switch temperature units), "MODE/CAL" (to switch modes or initiate calibration), and "ON/OFF" (power on/off). The HD LCD Display shows current measurements, such as pH (e.g., 5.2) and temperature (e.g., 22.5), along with the model name BLE-YC01.
App Interface and Data Management
The BLE-YC01 connects via Bluetooth 5.2 to a mobile application, allowing for advanced data management and control.
Saving Data Manually
To save data manually, click the "Save Reading" button in the app interface. A screen will appear showing the saved data, including Date, EC, TDS, ORP, CL, pH, and Temperature. Notes can also be added.
Viewing Measurement Data
Press the "Saved" icon in the app to view measurement data. Manually saved data records are displayed in black, while automatically saved data records are displayed in blue.
Backlight Control
The app allows control of the backlight. Toggle between "Back light on" and "Back light off" options.
Power Display
The app displays the current power level, e.g., "80%".
Hold Reading
The "Hold Reading" function can be activated from the app interface to freeze the current measurement on the screen.
Automatic Saving
The device supports automatic data saving. This feature can be toggled "on" or "off". The automatic saving interval can be set between 0 and 9999 seconds.
Settings and Configuration
Setting Max/Min Limits
Users can define maximum or minimum limit values for PH, EC, ORP, and CL based on their requirements. If test results fall outside these ranges, the numbers will be displayed in red.
- pH Limits: Max 8.00, Min 1.00
- EC Limits: Max 10000 µS/cm, Min 500 µS/cm
- ORP Limits: Max 999 mV, Min -300 mV
- CL Limits: Max 0.2 mg/L
TDS Factor Definition
The default TDS factor is 0.5. It can be set within a range of 0.0 to 3.0.
EC Temperature Compensation Factor Definition
The factory default EC temperature compensation factor is 2.0%/°C. It can be adjusted within a range of 0.0 to 3.0%/°C.
Save, Share, and Print
Press the "Saved" icon to view records. Press the "Share" icon to share the file. If connected to a printer, test records can be printed. Export options include Excel spreadsheets and sharing via various social media platforms.
Calibration Procedures
The device supports two sets of calibration points: 6.86/4.00/9.18 and 7.00/4.00/10.01. These can be selected in the settings.
PH Calibration
Preparation: Dissolve each buffer solution in 3 cups filled with 250 ml of distilled water. Convert the device to PH mode.
- Calibrating 6.86: Place the electrode in the 6.86 solution. Wait for the test to stabilize. Press "CAL" for 5 seconds, then release the button. Wait for "6.86" to flash 3 times. Calibration 6.86 is complete. Clean the electrode with distilled water.
- Calibrating 4.00: Place the electrode in the 4.00 solution. Wait for the test to stabilize. Press "CAL" for 5 seconds, then release the button. Wait for "4.00" to flash 3 times. Calibration 4.00 is complete. Clean the electrode with distilled water.
- Calibrating 9.18: Place the electrode in the 9.18 solution. Wait for the test to stabilize. Press "CAL" for 5 seconds, then release the button. Wait for "9.18" to flash 3 times. Calibration 9.18 is complete.
Note: The calibration steps for 7.00/4.00/10.01 are the same as above.
TDS/EC Calibration
- Calibrating 1413 µS/cm: Press "MODE/CAL" to convert to EC mode. Place the electrode in a 1413 µS/cm standard solution. Wait for the test to stabilize. Press "MODE/CAL" for 5 seconds; the screen will display test values. Use the up arrow (▲) to increase digits or the down arrow (▼) to decrease digits until the displayed value is 1413. Release the button. Wait for "1413" to flash 3 times. Calibration 1413 is complete. Clean the electrode with distilled water.
- Calibrating 12.88 mS/cm: Press "MODE/CAL" to convert to EC mode. Place the electrode in a 12.88 mS/cm standard solution. Wait for the test to stabilize. Press "MODE/CAL" for 5 seconds; the screen will display test values. Use the up arrow (▲) to increase digits or the down arrow (▼) to decrease digits until the displayed value is 12.88. Release the button. Wait for "12.88" to flash 3 times. Calibration 12.88 is complete. Clean the electrode with distilled water.
ORP Calibration
- Press the "MODE" button to convert to ORP Mode.
- Place the electrode in the 256mV solution. Wait for the value to stabilize.
