2. Setup and Installation
Before proceeding with the installation, it is highly recommended to test the unit outside the car to ensure it functions correctly after transit. This car stereo operates on a 12V DC power supply.
2.1 Pre-Installation Test Method
Connect the red and yellow wires of the power cord together to the positive pole of a 12V DC battery.
Connect the black wire of the power cord to the negative pole of the battery.
Wait for 10 seconds, then press each button on the machine to check if it boots normally.
If it boots, the unit is functional and can be installed. If not, re-verify connections. If the issue persists, contact support.
Important: The working voltage of this car stereo is 12V. It cannot be used with 24V systems (e.g., big trucks) as it will be damaged if the voltage exceeds 16V.

5. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common problems and provides simple troubleshooting steps.
5.1 Unable to Boot Normally
Wiring Issues: Ensure the yellow (B+), red (ACC), and black (GND) wires are correctly connected. Yellow to constant +12V, Red to switched +12V (ignition), Black to ground. Incorrect connections, especially reversed red/yellow, can prevent booting or cause damage.
Fuse Check: If the unit doesn't boot, check the fuse on the yellow line. If it's blown, replace it. If it blows repeatedly, there might be a short circuit in the unit or wiring.
Power Supply Test: If wiring and fuse are confirmed correct, try connecting the yellow and red wires directly to a 12V battery's positive terminal and the black wire to negative. If it boots, the issue is with your car's wiring. If not, the unit may be faulty.
5.2 Automatic Shut-down
Cable Error: If the blue cable (automatic antenna power supply) is incorrectly connected to the unit's power cable, it can cause automatic shutdown. Verify correct wiring.
Unstable Voltage: Test with a stable 12V-5A power supply. If the issue resolves, replace your car's power supply.
5.3 Having Noise
Speaker Power: If the original speaker power is too low, noise may occur at high volumes. Avoid excessively high volumes.
Speaker Cable Grounded: Ensure speaker cables are not grounded. Take the iron speaker cable and connect it directly to the unit's speaker cable.
5.4 Remote Control Not Working
Battery Check: Verify the remote control battery has power. Remove the battery insulation paper if it's new. If it still doesn't work, replace the battery.
5.5 Settings Not Saved (No Memory)
Ensure the yellow (B+) and red (ACC) wires are correctly connected. Yellow to constant +12V, Red to switched +12V. If they are reversed, swap them.
5.6 Bluetooth Not Working
Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile phone before turning on the car stereo.
Delete existing Bluetooth records on your phone and re-pair.
5.7 No Sound After Installation
Wiring Error: Check for short circuits in speaker cables. Reconnect if necessary.
Speaker Compatibility: If your car has only 2 speaker cables, it may not match the unit's requirements. You need to re-route the car line to ensure each speaker has two dedicated wires.
5.8 Cannot Search for FM Station
Antenna Connection: Ensure the antenna plug is fully inserted and not disconnected.
Channel Scan: Perform a channel scan search on the FM menu page.
Antenna Test: If issues persist, unplug the antenna and try inserting a screwdriver or metal strip into the antenna port to test reception.
5.9 USB Flash Disk Not Playing / TF Card Slot Issues
USB Format: Format the USB flash disk to FAT32 and re-download media. If it still doesn't work, try a different USB drive.
TF Card: Check if the memory card is inserted correctly and if the plug is damaged.
5.10 No Display of Reversing Video
Wiring: Ensure the camera is correctly wired to the reverse video input and the pink "REVERSE" wire is connected to the reverse light positive.
Camera Fault: Check if the camera's light is on when reverse is engaged. If not, the camera may be broken and needs replacement.

7. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Leadfan X6 car stereo, follow these maintenance guidelines:
Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the touchscreen and exterior. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the surface.
Temperature: Operate the unit within normal automotive temperature ranges. Extreme heat or cold can affect performance and lifespan.
Connections: Periodically check all wiring connections to ensure they are secure and free from corrosion. Loose connections can lead to intermittent issues.
Software Updates: While not explicitly mentioned, regularly check the manufacturer's website for any available firmware updates to improve performance or add features.
Fuse Replacement: If a fuse blows, replace it with one of the same rating to prevent damage to the unit or vehicle's electrical system.
8. User Tips
Based on common user experiences and questions, here are some helpful tips:
Pre-Installation Test is Crucial: Always test the unit with a 12V battery before installing it in your car. This helps identify any issues from shipping and avoids complex troubleshooting in the vehicle.
Verify Wiring Carefully: Double-check the power (Red, Yellow, Black) and speaker wiring against the diagram. Many issues, especially "no boot" or "no sound," stem from incorrect or loose connections.
Bluetooth Pairing: Ensure your phone's Bluetooth is on and visible before attempting to pair with the car stereo. If pairing fails, delete previous pairings on your phone and try again.
USB/TF Card Compatibility: For media playback, ensure USB drives are formatted to FAT32. If a USB drive or TF card isn't recognized, try a different one or reformat it.
Steering Wheel Control Setup: Take your time to learn the steering wheel controls. If a button doesn't respond, try resetting and re-learning the function.
Subwoofer Output: If connecting an external subwoofer, ensure it's wired to the L-OUT and R-OUT, and the blue wire of the B harness is connected to the subwoofer for proper activation.
