1. Introduction

The Satlink WS-6933 is a portable DVB-S2 satellite finder meter designed to assist in the quick and accurate alignment of satellite dishes. It supports both C and KU band signals and features a 2.1-inch LCD screen for clear signal readings. 4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Device

Before initial use, ensure the device is fully charged. Connect the provided 12V/1.2A DC adapter to the 'DC IN' port on the side of the meter and plug it into a power outlet. The 'Charge' indicator LED will illuminate during charging.

4.2 Connecting to the LNB

  1. Ensure the satellite dish is roughly aimed in the correct direction.
  2. Locate the F-type connector on the top of the WS-6933 meter.
  3. Connect the cable from your LNB (Low Noise Block-downconverter) on the satellite dish to the F-type connector on the meter.
  4. If using a separate receiver, connect the cable from the meter's output (if available, or directly from LNB if meter is inline) to your satellite receiver.

4.3 Powering On

Slide the power switch located on the top of the device to the 'ON' position. The LCD screen will power on, and the main menu will be displayed.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Navigating the Menu

Use the arrow buttons (Up, Down, Left, Right) to navigate through the menu options displayed on the 2.1-inch LCD screen. Press the 'OK' button to select an option and 'RETURN' to go back to the previous menu.

5.2 Satellite Signal Scan

  1. From the main menu, select 'Signal Scan' or 'Sat Setting' to configure satellite parameters.
  2. Choose the desired satellite from the list or add a new one.
  3. Configure LNB type, LO frequency, Transponder (TP) frequency, symbol rate, and polarization (Vertical/Horizontal).
  4. The meter will display real-time signal strength, quality, BER, and PWR readings. Adjust your satellite dish's azimuth, elevation, and LNB skew until the signal quality is maximized.
  5. An audible tone will indicate when a signal is locked, with the pitch increasing as signal quality improves.

5.3 DISEQC and 22KHz Tone

The WS-6933 supports DISEQC 1.0 /1.1 for switching between multiple LNBs or dishes, and 22KHz tone for high-band LNBs. These settings can be configured within the 'Sat Setting' menu.

5.4 Integrated Compass

The device includes an integrated compass to assist with initial dish alignment, helping to point the dish towards the correct satellite direction (azimuth).

6. Maintenance

6.1 Battery Care

The device is powered by a 7.4V/800mAh Li-ion battery. To prolong battery life:

6.2 Software Upgrades

The WS-6933 supports software upgrades via its USB port. Connect the device to a computer using the provided USB cable and follow the instructions provided with the software update package (usually available from the manufacturer's website) to update the firmware.

6.3 Cleaning

Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the device's casing or internal components.
