4. Setup and Installation
4.1 Mounting the Units
- Both the indoor monitor and outdoor doorbell unit are designed for wall mounting.
- Choose appropriate locations for each unit, ensuring the doorbell has a clear view of the entrance and the monitor is easily accessible indoors.
- Use the provided mounting brackets and screws to securely attach the units to the wall.
4.2 Wiring Connections
The system uses 4-wire technology for connection between the doorbell panel and the indoor monitor. The maximum recommended distance for this wired connection is 100 meters to ensure optimal performance.
- Power Supply: Connect the 12V power adapter to the indoor monitor. Ensure the power source is stable.
- Doorbell to Monitor: Connect the 4-wire cable from the outdoor doorbell unit to the indoor monitor. Ensure correct polarity and secure connections for power, video, audio, and data.
- Electronic Lock (Optional): The system can connect to all standard 12V electronic locks. Refer to your electronic lock's manual for specific wiring instructions and connect it to the designated terminals on the doorbell unit or monitor for remote unlocking functionality.
4.3 Network Connection
The indoor monitor supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi for internet connectivity. It does not support 5GHz Wi-Fi networks.
- Once the monitor is powered on, navigate to the network settings on the touch screen.
- Select your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network and enter the password.
- Ensure the monitor is successfully connected to the internet.
4.4 App Setup (TuyaSmart)
- Download the "TuyaSmart" app from your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android).
- Register for a new account or log in if you already have one.
- Follow the in-app instructions to add your TMEZON intercom system. This typically involves scanning a QR code displayed on the monitor or manually adding the device.
- Once added, you will be able to control and monitor your intercom system remotely via the app.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Answering Calls
- When a visitor presses the doorbell, the indoor monitor will ring, and your smartphone (with the TuyaSmart app installed and configured) will receive a notification.
- You can answer the call from the indoor monitor by tapping the answer button on the touch screen, or from your smartphone via the app.
- The system supports hands-free two-way audio communication.

5.2 Unlocking the Door
The system offers multiple methods for unlocking connected electronic locks:
- From Monitor: Tap the unlock icon on the indoor monitor's touch screen during a call or live view.
- Via App: Use the unlock function within the TuyaSmart app on your smartphone.
- Password: Enter a pre-set password on the outdoor doorbell unit's keypad.
- IC Card: Swipe a registered RFID key fob (badge) over the designated area on the outdoor doorbell unit.

5.3 Voice Message Mode
If a visitor presses the doorbell and no one answers for an extended period, the system will automatically enter voice message mode. The visitor can then leave a message, which you can retrieve later.

5.4 Automatic Snapshot and Recording
The system is equipped with automatic snapshot and video recording capabilities:
- When a visitor presses the doorbell, the camera will automatically take a snapshot or begin video recording.
- If motion detection is triggered, the camera will also automatically capture a snapshot or record video.
- Recordings are stored on a Micro SD card (not included, supports up to 256GB) inserted into the indoor monitor. You can review these recordings at any time via the monitor or the TuyaSmart app.

5.5 Motion Detection
The doorbell camera features motion detection with a 125° viewing angle. When movement is detected within this range, the system can trigger recordings and send notifications to your smartphone, enhancing security.

6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Regularly wipe the indoor monitor screen and outdoor doorbell camera lens with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- SD Card Management: If using a Micro SD card for recordings, periodically check its storage capacity and format it if necessary to ensure continuous recording. Back up important footage before formatting.
- Firmware Updates: Check the TuyaSmart app or TMEZON's official website for any available firmware updates for your system to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Power Supply: Ensure the 12V power supply is securely connected and free from damage.
7. Troubleshooting
- No Power to Monitor: Check the 12V power adapter connection and ensure the power outlet is functional.
- No Video/Audio from Doorbell: Verify the 4-wire connection between the doorbell and monitor. Ensure all wires are securely connected and not damaged.
- App Not Connecting: Ensure the indoor monitor is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Restart the monitor and your router. Re-add the device in the TuyaSmart app if necessary.
- Remote Unlock Not Working: Check the wiring to your electronic lock. Ensure the lock is receiving power and is compatible with a 12V trigger.
- Poor Image Quality: Clean the doorbell camera lens. Ensure adequate lighting at the doorbell location.
- System Not Responding: Try restarting the indoor monitor by disconnecting and reconnecting its power supply.
8. User Tips
- Wiring Distance: For optimal performance, ensure the wired connection between the doorbell and the indoor monitor does not exceed 100 meters. Distances beyond this may lead to signal degradation.
- Wi-Fi Compatibility: Remember that the system only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks. If you have a dual-band router, ensure your monitor is connected to the 2.4GHz band.
- SD Card for Recording: To utilize the automatic snapshot and recording features, install a Micro SD card (up to 256GB) in the indoor monitor. This card is typically not included with the system.
