8. Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and performance of your VGR V-123 clipper.
- Cleaning the Blades:
- After each use, turn off and unplug the clipper.
- Remove the guide comb.
- The blade head is water washable. Carefully rinse the blades under running water to remove hair clippings. Do not immerse the entire clipper body.
- Use the provided cleaning brush to remove any stubborn hair particles from the blades and inside the clipper head.
- Allow the blades to air dry completely before reattaching the tool head cover or storing.
- Lubrication:
- Apply a few drops of clipper oil (not included) to the blades after every few uses, or if the clipper starts to pull hair.
- Turn the clipper on for a few seconds to distribute the oil evenly.
- Storage: Store the clipper in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Use the tool head cover to protect the blades when not in use.
9. Troubleshooting
- Clipper not turning on: Ensure the clipper is fully charged or properly connected to a power source. Check the ON/OFF switch position.
- Clipper pulling hair: The blades may be dull, dirty, or not properly lubricated. Clean and oil the blades. If the issue persists, consider professional sharpening or blade replacement.
- Reduced cutting performance: Clean the blades thoroughly. Ensure the correct guide comb is attached and the taper lever is set appropriately. The battery might be low; try using it corded or recharge.
- Unusual noise: Turn off the clipper immediately. Check for any foreign objects caught in the blades or motor area. If the noise persists, contact customer support.
