6. Initial Setup

6.1. Unpacking and Inspection

  1. Carefully remove the charger and all accessories from the packaging.
  2. Inspect the charger for any signs of damage during transit. If damaged, do not use and contact support.
  3. Ensure all items listed in the 'What's in the Box' section are present.

6.2. Power Connection

The M6DAC PRO V2 series supports both AC and DC power inputs.

  1. AC Power: Connect the provided AC input cable to the AC input port on the rear of the charger, then plug the other end into a suitable wall outlet (100-240V).
  2. DC Power: Connect a DC power source (7-28V, MAX 30A) to the DC input port on the rear of the charger. Ensure correct polarity.
  3. The charger will power on automatically once connected to a power source.

6.3. Battery Connection

  1. Connect the main power lead of your battery to one of the main output ports (e.g., XT60) on the front of the charger.
  2. For multi-cell batteries (LiPo, LiHV, etc.), connect the balance lead of the battery to the corresponding balance port next to the main output port. This is crucial for safe and balanced charging.
  3. Ensure all connections are secure before proceeding.

7. Operation

7.1. Navigating the User Interface

The charger's functions are accessed via the 2.8-inch IPS LCD display and controlled by the scroll wheel and Exit/CH key.

  • Scroll Wheel: Turn to scroll through menu options or adjust values. Press to confirm a selection or enter a submenu.
  • Exit/CH Key: Press to go back to the previous menu or to switch between Channel 1 and Channel 2 when multiple channels are active.

7.2. Charging and Discharging Batteries

  1. Select Channel: If using dual channels, press the Exit/CH key to select the desired channel (CH1 or CH2).
  2. Select Battery Type: From the main menu, navigate to 'Battery Type' and select the chemistry of your battery (e.g., LiPo, LiHV, NiMH).
  3. Set Parameters: Adjust the cell count (for Li-based batteries), charging current (Amps), and charging mode (e.g., Charge, Fast Charge, Balance Charge, Storage, Discharge).
  4. Start Operation: Once all parameters are set, confirm the settings and start the charging/discharging process. The display will show real-time status, including voltage, current, capacity, and internal resistance.
  5. Dynamic Light Strip: Observe the dynamic light strip on the charger, which provides a visual indication of the charging status.

7.3. Wireless Charging (M6DAC PRO Only)

The M6DAC PRO version features a convenient wireless charging pad on its top surface.

  1. Ensure the charger is powered on.
  2. Place a Qi-compatible device (e.g., smartphone) on the designated wireless charging area.
  3. The charger will automatically detect the device and begin wireless charging.

7.4. USB-C Power Delivery (PD65W)

The USB-C port on the rear of the charger provides up to 65W of power delivery, suitable for fast charging laptops, smartphones, and other compatible devices.

  1. Connect your device to the USB-C output port using a compatible USB-C cable.
  2. The charger will automatically negotiate the appropriate power output for your device.

8. Maintenance

  • Overheating: Ensure the charger is in a well-ventilated area and the cooling fan vents are not blocked. Reduce the charging current if the charger consistently overheats.
  • Wireless charging not working (PRO version): Ensure your device is Qi-compatible and correctly placed on the wireless charging pad. Remove any thick cases that might interfere.
