1. Introduction

This device is designed to enhance your driving experience with advanced features such as Wireless CarPlay, Android Auto, GPS navigation, FM radio, Bluetooth connectivity, and multimedia playback. This manual provides essential information for installation, operation, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Please read this manual thoroughly before using the product and keep it for future reference.

2. Package Contents

Before installation, please verify that all items listed below are included in your package:

  • Main Head Unit (Machine)
  • Power Cable

  • Reversing Camera Cable (if included in your purchase)

3. Installation Guide

Professional installation is recommended. Ensure the vehicle's power is disconnected before beginning installation.

3.1. Pre-Installation Check

Confirm the shape and size of your car's center console matches the head unit before proceeding.

3.2. Wiring Diagram

Refer to the following diagram for proper connection of the head unit to your vehicle's electrical system and accessories.

Key Connections:

  • Power Cable: Connect ACC, Battery +12V, and Battery GND.
  • RCA Cable: For audio and video input/output.
  • USB Cables: USB1 and USB2 ports for external devices.
  • GPS Antenna: Connect for navigation functionality.
  • Camera Input: For optional reversing camera.
  • Steering Wheel Control (SWC): Connect to KEY1 and KEY2.
  • Reverse Detecting Line: Connect for automatic camera activation.
  • ILL Small Lights Detecting: For illumination synchronization.

Note: If your car has a CANBUS system, please use the provided USB cable for connection. Refer to the specific wiring instructions for your vehicle model.

3.3. Rear View Camera Connection (Optional)

If you have an optional rear view camera, follow these steps:

  1. Connect the red cable (2) to the back light "+".
  2. Connect the black cable (1) to the "GND".
  3. The reverse detection cable (4) (brown color) is connected to the red cable (3) which extends from the video output cable.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Initial Setup

Upon first power-on, the system will display a welcome screen and then load the Android interface. You may need to set the language, date, and time.

4.2. Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto

The head unit supports built-in Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, eliminating the need for additional accessories.

  1. Connect Bluetooth: Turn on your phone's Bluetooth and pair it with the car's Bluetooth.
  2. Launch Application: For CarPlay, click on the "R Lin-k" app. For Android Auto, click on the "Android Auto App".
  3. Confirm Connection: Wait for the connection. Your phone may prompt a message like "Use CarPlay with ZLink or AutoLink". Confirm this message.

Both CarPlay and Android Auto can also be connected via a USB cable.

4.3. GPS Navigation

The unit features a built-in global positioning system for omni-directional map display and real-time traffic conditions. It supports various navigation applications.

4.4. FM Radio

The FM radio supports automatic and manual station search. You can drag and drop station icons to customize your channel list.

4.5. Bluetooth Function

The smart Bluetooth system allows for mobile phone pairing, hands-free calling, and Bluetooth music streaming. It supports contact synchronization and call records.

4.6. Steering Wheel Control (SWC)

Take control of music playback and hands-free calling directly from your steering wheel for safer driving.

If your unit has a CANBUS box:

  1. Before setup, confirm the CANBUS box and 8-pin serial cable are connected to the multimedia unit.
  2. Refer to the system settings to set your car model.

If your unit does NOT have a CANBUS box:

  1. Go to the "Keys" settings.
  2. Click "Start learn" to enter learn mode.
  3. First, select the function on the screen, then press the corresponding steering wheel button for 1 second to release it.
  4. Repeat for all desired functions.

4.7. Reversing Video (Optional)

If a reversing camera is connected, the display will automatically switch to the camera view when the vehicle is in reverse, providing clear visuals and parking assist lines.

4.8. ADAS DVR (Optional)

The system supports an optional ADAS DVR (Anti-collision Warning Driving Recorder) for enhanced safety features like front vehicle distance prediction, anti-collision warning, and lane departure warning.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your STRONGNAVI car radio, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • No Power: Check all power connections (ACC, +12V, GND). Ensure fuses are intact.
  • No Sound: Verify speaker connections. Check volume levels and audio settings (equalizer, sound field).
  • Bluetooth Connection Issues: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on both the head unit and your phone. Try unpairing and re-pairing the devices.
  • GPS Signal Loss: Ensure the GPS antenna is properly installed and has a clear view of the sky.
  • Steering Wheel Controls Not Working: Recheck wiring for SWC. If applicable, re-learn the steering wheel buttons in the system settings. If using CANBUS, ensure it's correctly configured for your car model.
  • Screen Unresponsive: Try restarting the unit. If the issue persists, a factory reset might be necessary (note: this will erase all user data).
