3. Setup Guide

3.1. Package Contents

Before proceeding, please verify that all items are present in your package:

  • 1 x F8 Trail Camera (Memory card not included)
  • 1 Set x Accessories (Mounting strap, bracket, etc.)

3.2. Powering the Camera

The F8 Trail Camera is equipped with a built-in 6000mAh lithium battery and a 5W solar panel for continuous power. Ensure the solar panel is positioned to receive maximum sunlight for optimal charging.

3.3. SIM Card and Memory Card Installation

  1. Locate the SIM card slot and memory card (TF card) slot on the camera body.
  2. Insert a compatible 4G SIM card into the SIM card slot. Ensure it is correctly oriented.
  3. Insert a TF card (not included) into the memory card slot. The camera supports flexible TF card storage.
  4. Close the protective cover securely to maintain the IP66 waterproof rating.

3.4. App Installation and Pairing

Download the 'UCon' application on your smartphone. Follow the in-app instructions to pair your camera and configure its settings. This app allows for live viewing and remote control.

3.5. Mounting the Camera

Use the provided accessories (e.g., mounting strap, bracket) to securely attach the camera to a tree or other suitable surface. Position the camera and solar panel to optimize detection range and sunlight exposure.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Power On/Off

Refer to the camera's physical controls or the UCon app to power the device on or off. Ensure the camera is powered on for operation and charging.

4.2. Motion Detection and Capture

The camera utilizes a Smart PIR motion detection system. When motion is detected within its 125° wide angle and up to 25m range, the camera triggers within 0.3 seconds to capture photos or videos.

4.3. Image and Video Quality

The camera captures high-definition 14MP images and 4K video. These can be viewed directly through the UCon app or by accessing the TF card.

4.4. Night Vision

The F8 camera features Super HD Night Vision, utilizing infrared technology to capture clear images and videos in low-light or complete darkness without disturbing wildlife.

4.5. Data Storage and Access

Captured media is stored on the inserted TF card. Additionally, the camera supports cloud storage solutions, accessible via the UCon app, for convenient backup and remote access.

5. Maintenance

5.1. Cleaning

  • Regularly clean the camera lens and solar panel with a soft, damp cloth to ensure optimal performance.
  • Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the surfaces.

5.2. Battery and Solar Panel Care

  • Ensure the solar panel is free from obstructions (leaves, dirt, snow) to maximize charging efficiency.
  • While the camera is designed for continuous operation, prolonged periods without sufficient sunlight may deplete the internal battery. Monitor battery levels via the UCon app.

5.3. Waterproofing

The camera has an IP66 waterproof rating. Always ensure all ports and covers are securely closed to maintain this protection, especially after accessing the SIM or TF card slots.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Camera not powering on: Check battery level via the app. Ensure solar panel is receiving sunlight.
  • No 4G connectivity: Verify SIM card installation and ensure it has an active data plan. Check network coverage in the camera's location.
  • Poor image/video quality: Clean the camera lens. Ensure there are no obstructions in front of the lens.
  • Motion detection not working: Check PIR sensor for obstructions. Adjust sensitivity settings in the UCon app.
  • No recordings: Ensure a TF card is properly inserted and has sufficient free space. Check cloud storage status if applicable.
