1. Product Overview
The Digital Clock Car Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) is designed to enhance driving safety by providing real-time monitoring of your vehicle's tire pressure and temperature. It features a colorful LCD digital display, solar and USB charging capabilities, and intelligent alarm functions for abnormal tire conditions.
1.1 Package Contents
Before installation, please verify that all components are present:
- TPMS Display Unit
- 4 External Sensors
- USB Charging Cable
- Wrench
- Anti-theft Nuts
- Silicone Pad
- User Manual
2. Setup and Installation
2.1 Display Unit Placement and Charging
Place the TPMS display unit on your dashboard in a position that does not obstruct your view of the road. The unit is designed for solar charging but can also be charged via USB.
- **Solar Charging:** Ensure the solar panel on the display unit is exposed to sunlight for continuous charging.
- **USB Charging:** Connect the provided USB cable to the display unit and a car charger or USB port for charging, especially in low light conditions.
2.2 External Sensor Installation
The system uses external sensors for easy installation. Follow these steps to install the sensors on your tires:
- Screw out the original valve cap from the tire valve.
- Install an anti-theft washer onto the valve stem first.
- Rotate the anti-theft nut counterclockwise onto the valve stem.
- Screw the external sensor onto the valve stem. Ensure it is tightened securely.
- Use the provided wrench to tighten the anti-theft washer by turning it anticlockwise against the sensor.
- Check for air leakage around the sensor using soapy water.
The system features an intelligent shock boot, meaning it will automatically turn on when the car is moving, so there is no need to manually power it on or off.
3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Display Unit Functions
The colorful LCD digital display provides clear, real-time information about your tires. The display unit includes buttons for selection and power/up functions.
- **Real-time Monitoring:** The display shows the pressure and temperature for all four tires simultaneously.
- **Digital Clock Display:** The unit also features a digital clock.
- **Unit Change:** You can switch between PSI and Bar for pressure readings, and between °C and °F for temperature readings. Refer to the on-screen menu for this setting.
3.2 Alarm Functions
The system provides various alarms to alert you to abnormal tire conditions, ensuring driving safety.
- **Leak/Low Pressure Alarm:** The icon flashes, and the corresponding tire's pressure value flashes.
- **High Pressure Alarm:** The icon flashes, and the corresponding tire's pressure value flashes.
- **High Temperature Alarm:** The icon flashes, and the corresponding tire's temperature value flashes.
- **Sensor Battery Run Down:** The icon blinks, and the low battery icon blinks for the affected sensor.
- **Buzzer Alarm:** An audible "di! di! di!" sound accompanies visual alarms.
3.3 High Temperature Protection
The system is equipped with automatic high temperature protection:
- Above 65°C: Charging will stop.
- Above 85°C: Self-protection mode turns on.
- If temperature is too high, ventilate or turn on the air conditioner to return to normal monitoring.
4. Maintenance
4.1 General Care
- Clean the display unit and sensors regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals.
- Ensure the solar panel on the display unit is clean for efficient charging.
- The brass valve core of the sensors is resistant to harsh environments, and the sensors are IPX7 waterproof, providing durability against various weather conditions.
4.2 External Sensor Battery Replacement
When a sensor battery runs low, it will trigger an alarm. Replace the battery by following these steps:
- Loosen the six-angle nuts on the sensor.
- Spin out the sensor from the valve stem.
- Remove the dismantling gasket.
- Use the wrench to rotate the sensor counterclockwise to open it.
- Replace with a new CR1632 battery.
- Reassemble the sensor and reinstall it on the tire, following the installation steps in Section 2.2.
5. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your TPMS, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Display not turning on | Low battery, insufficient solar charging, unit not detecting movement. | Charge via USB. Ensure solar panel is exposed to light. Drive the car to activate intelligent shock boot. |
| Inaccurate readings or no signal from a sensor | Sensor not installed correctly, sensor battery low, interference. | Reinstall sensor securely. Replace sensor battery (see Section 4.2). Ensure no strong electronic interference nearby. |
| Alarm constantly sounding | Tire pressure/temperature outside normal range, sensor malfunction. | Check tire pressure with a reliable gauge and adjust if necessary. Check tire temperature. If problem persists, contact support. |
| Missing accessories | Packaging error. | Contact the purchase channel for replacement shipment. |
