4. Initial Setup

4.1 Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge the ANCEL AN302 using the provided USB Type-C cable and a compatible power adapter (not included). The charging indicator will show the charging status.

4.2 Inserting the MicroSD Card

Locate the MicroSD card slot on the device. Insert the included 32GB MicroSD card into the slot until it clicks into place. The device supports hot-swapping of MicroSD cards up to 64GB.

4.3 Attaching the Probe

Connect the flexible endoscope probe to the main unit. Ensure the connection is secure. The probe features a stainless steel cable protection ring for enhanced durability and tensile strength.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

Press and hold the power button to turn the device on or off.

5.2 Menu Navigation and Settings

Use the centrally located joystick and the 'OK' button to navigate through the menu options. The device offers various settings:

  • Language settings: Select from 9 available languages.
  • Date/time: Set the current date and time.
  • Automatic shut-down: Configure the auto-shutdown timer.
  • Resolution: Adjust photo and video resolution.
  • Date label: Enable/disable time watermark on photos.
  • Recording: Access recording functions.
  • Sound: Adjust sound settings.
  • Brightness: Adjust screen brightness.
  • Temperature system: Switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
  • Default settings: Restore factory settings.
  • Format: Format the MicroSD card.
  • Version: View device firmware information.

5.3 Switching Camera Modes

The AN302 supports three image display modes: Front Camera Image, Side Camera Image, and Dual Screen Display. Use the appropriate button to switch between these modes during inspection.

5.4 Adjusting LED Brightness

Use the dedicated brightness control buttons to cycle through the 3 levels of LED brightness for optimal illumination in different environments.

5.5 Capturing Photos and Videos

Press the multifunction button (located near the index finger) to capture photos or start/stop video recording. Ensure a MicroSD card is inserted to save your media.

5.6 Using the Articulating Joystick

The articulating joystick allows for precise control of the probe's tip, enabling you to maneuver the camera into desired positions for a clear view. This feature is designed for one-handed operation.

5.7 Application Scenarios

The ANCEL AN302 is suitable for a wide range of inspection tasks:

  • Detecting car engine cavities.
  • Inspecting the inner walls of oil and gas pipelines.
  • Examining the inside of household appliances.
  • Checking water pipes and floor drains.
  • Detecting narrow caves, such as termite holes.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning the Probe

After each use, especially in dirty or wet environments, clean the camera probe with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn grime, use the provided lens care kit. Ensure the lens is dry before storage. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

6.2 Battery Care

To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the device frequently. Charge the device regularly, even if not in use for extended periods (e.g., once every 3 months).

6.3 Storage

Store the endoscope and its accessories in the portable tool box in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the probe is not bent or kinked during storage.
