4. Product Overview
The Ourlife WiFi Repeater features a compact design with six adjustable high-gain external antennas to maximize signal coverage. It includes LED indicators for power, Wi-Fi status, and signal strength, along with a WPS button for quick setup and Ethernet ports for wired connections.

5. Setup and Installation
The Ourlife WiFi Repeater offers a simple plug-and-play setup. You can configure it using the WPS button for quick connection or through a web browser for more detailed settings.
5.1 Quick Setup using WPS
- Plug the WiFi Repeater into a power outlet near your existing router.
- Wait for the Power LED to turn solid.
- Press the WPS button on your main router.
- Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on the Ourlife WiFi Repeater.
- The Repeater's Wi-Fi LED should start blinking and then turn solid, indicating a successful connection. This process typically takes about 8 seconds.
- Once connected, you can unplug the repeater and move it to a desired location within your router's Wi-Fi range but closer to the dead zone.
Note: If your router does not support WPS, or if you prefer manual configuration, proceed to the Web Browser Setup section.
5.2 Web Browser Setup (for Repeater, AP, or Router Mode)
- Plug the WiFi Repeater into a power outlet.
- Connect your computer or mobile device to the repeater's default Wi-Fi network (e.g., "Ourlife_XXXX" or similar, check the label on the device). No password is required initially.
- Open a web browser and enter the default IP address (usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1, or a specific domain like "repeater.net" - check the device label or manual for the exact address).
- Log in using the default username and password (usually "admin" for both, check the device label).
- Follow the on-screen instructions to select your desired operating mode (Repeater, AP, or Router) and configure the network settings.
- For Repeater Mode: Select your existing Wi-Fi network, enter its password, and choose a new name for the extended network (or keep the same name).
- For AP Mode: Connect an Ethernet cable from your main router to the repeater's WAN/LAN port. The repeater will create a new wireless network.
- For Router Mode: Connect the internet source (e.g., modem) to the repeater's WAN port. The repeater will act as your main router.
- Save your settings and restart the device if prompted.

6. Operating Modes
The Ourlife WiFi Repeater supports three primary operating modes:
6.1 Repeater Mode
In Repeater Mode, the device extends the coverage of an existing wireless network. It receives the Wi-Fi signal from your main router and re-broadcasts it, effectively expanding the range and eliminating Wi-Fi dead zones. This mode is ideal for large homes or offices where the main router's signal doesn't reach all areas.
6.2 AP (Access Point) Mode
AP Mode converts a wired network connection into a wireless one. If you have an Ethernet port in a room with no Wi-Fi, you can connect the repeater to that port via an Ethernet cable. The repeater will then create a new wireless network, allowing wireless devices to connect to the internet. This mode is plug-and-play and does not require complex setup.
6.3 Router Mode
In Router Mode, the device acts as a primary router, creating a new private wireless AC network. You would connect your internet source (e.g., a DSL/Cable modem) directly to the repeater's WAN port. This mode is suitable for setting up a new network or replacing an existing router.
7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners.
- Firmware Updates: Periodically check the manufacturer's website for firmware updates. Keeping your device's firmware up-to-date can improve performance, stability, and security.
- Restarting: If you experience network issues, try restarting the repeater by unplugging it from the power outlet for 10 seconds and then plugging it back in.
- Resetting: If the device is not functioning correctly, you may need to perform a factory reset. Locate the reset button (usually a small pinhole) and press and hold it for about 5-10 seconds until the LEDs flash. Note that a factory reset will erase all custom settings, and you will need to reconfigure the device.
8. Troubleshooting
- Q: The repeater is not powering on.
- A: Ensure the power adapter is securely plugged into both the repeater and a working power outlet. Try a different outlet to rule out power supply issues.
- Q: I cannot connect to the repeater's Wi-Fi network.
- A: Make sure the repeater is powered on and its Wi-Fi LED is active. If you're connecting for the first time, look for the default network name (SSID) printed on the device. If you've changed the network name and password, ensure you're using the correct credentials. Try resetting the device to factory defaults and reconfiguring.
- Q: The extended Wi-Fi signal is weak or unstable.
- A: The repeater might be placed too far from your main router. Try moving the repeater to a location halfway between your router and the area with poor coverage. Ensure there are no major obstructions (thick walls, large metal objects) between the repeater and your devices or the main router. Adjust the external antennas for better reception.
- Q: I forgot the login password for the web management page.
- A: You will need to perform a factory reset on the device. This will revert the login credentials to the default "admin/admin" (or as printed on the device label) and erase all custom settings. You will then need to reconfigure the repeater.
- Q: My internet speed is slow when connected to the repeater.
- A: Ensure the repeater is placed in an optimal location to receive a strong signal from your main router. Check if there are many devices connected to the extended network. If using Repeater Mode, the speed can be halved as the device is both receiving and transmitting on the same channel. Consider using AP Mode if you have a wired connection available.
