This manual will guide you through the setup, operation, and maintenance of your new headsets.

3. Product Overview

The HOCO ES73 features an ergonomic neckband design for comfortable wear and easy access to controls. The earbuds are equipped with a magnetic switch for convenient power management and playback control.

Control Buttons:

  • Multifunction Button (Center): Power On/Off, Play/Pause, Answer/End Calls, Voice Assistant.
  • Volume Up (+) Button: Increase volume, Next track (long press).
  • Volume Down (-) Button: Decrease volume, Previous track (long press).
  • Magnetic Switch: Connect/separate earbuds to power on/off or play/pause.
  • Type-C Charging Port: For charging the device.
  • Microphone: For calls and voice commands.

4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Headsets

  1. Connect the provided Type-C charging cable to the charging port on the neckband.
  2. Connect the other end of the cable to a USB power source (e.g., wall adapter, computer USB port).
  3. The indicator light will show charging status (refer to LED indicator behavior in specifications).
  4. A full charge takes approximately 2 hours. The indicator light will change or turn off once fully charged.

Ensure the headsets are fully charged before first use for optimal battery performance.

4.2 Pairing with a Bluetooth Device

  1. Power On: Separate the magnetic earbuds or long-press the Multifunction Button until you hear a power-on prompt and the indicator light flashes.
  2. Pairing Mode: The headsets will automatically enter pairing mode if not connected to a device. The indicator light will typically flash red and blue alternately.
  3. Activate Bluetooth: On your smartphone or other Bluetooth device, enable Bluetooth.
  4. Select Device: Search for "HOCO ES73" (or similar name) in the list of available Bluetooth devices and select it.
  5. Confirmation: Once successfully paired, you will hear a confirmation tone, and the indicator light will typically flash blue slowly.
  6. Reconnect: The headsets will automatically attempt to reconnect to the last paired device when powered on.

4.3 Switching Prompt Language

If the headsets are not paired with any device, double-click the Multifunction Button to switch between Chinese and English prompt sounds.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

  • Power On: Separate the magnetic earbuds, or long-press the Multifunction Button.
  • Power Off: Attach the magnetic earbuds together, or long-press the Multifunction Button.

5.2 Music Playback

  • Play/Pause: Press the Multifunction Button once.
  • Volume Up: Press the (+) button.
  • Volume Down: Press the (-) button.
  • Next Track: Long-press the (+) button.
  • Previous Track: Long-press the (-) button.

5.3 Call Management

  • Answer/End Call: Press the Multifunction Button once.
  • Reject Call: Long-press the Multifunction Button.
  • Incoming Call Vibration: The neckband will vibrate to alert you of an incoming call.

5.4 Voice Assistant

Triple-press the Multifunction Button to activate your device's voice assistant (e.g., Siri, Google Assistant).

6. Maintenance and Care

  • Keep the headsets dry. Do not expose them to extreme temperatures or humidity.
  • Clean the earbuds and neckband regularly with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials for cleaning.
  • Store the headsets in a clean, safe place when not in use.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the headsets, as this will void the warranty and may cause damage.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 Cannot Power On

  • Ensure the battery is charged. Connect to a power source and charge for at least 30 minutes.
  • If using the magnetic switch, ensure the earbuds are separated.

7.2 Cannot Pair with Device

  • Make sure the headsets are in pairing mode (indicator light flashing red/blue).
  • Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device and it is within 10 meters of the headsets.
  • Turn off and on your device's Bluetooth, then try searching again.
  • If previously paired, try forgetting the device on your phone and re-pairing.

7.3 No Sound or Low Volume

  • Check the volume levels on both the headsets and your connected device.
  • Ensure the headsets are properly connected to your device.
  • Try playing different audio sources.

7.4 Intermittent Connection

  • Ensure there are no obstructions between the headsets and your device.
  • Move closer to your device to ensure you are within the 10-20m wireless range.
  • Avoid environments with strong Wi-Fi or other wireless interference.
