3.2 Installation Guidelines
Important: Ensure the siren is placed in an area that receives adequate sunlight for optimal charging.
- Choose a Location: Select a suitable outdoor location, such as a villa courtyard, orchard, warehouse, or fence perimeter. The device is designed for outdoor use and is rainproof and dustproof.
- Mounting Height (Reference Only):
- a. Height 2.2m: Vertical detection distance (daytime alarm) 5-12m, detection distance (night) 3-12m.
- b. Height 2.0m: Vertical detection distance (daytime alarm) 3-10m, detection distance (night) 3-12m.
- c. Height 1.8m: Vertical detection distance (daytime alarm) ≤10m, detection distance (night) 3-12m.
- Outdoor Installation:
- Secure the fixed bracket to the desired surface using appropriate screws.
- Attach the siren product to the fixed bracket.
- Indoor Installation (if used as a host):
- Connect a DC5V/1A power supply via the Type-C USB port.
- Install the product in the desired indoor location.
- Sensing Angle: The maximum detection range is 12m within the angle of invasion. Note that for people moving directly towards or away from the sensor, the detection range may be shortened.
3.3 Pairing with Alarm System/Detectors
The PE-523 siren can be paired with a 433MHz GSM/WiFi alarm system (e.g., PG107, PG106, PG105, PG103) or function as a standalone alarm host. When used as a host, it can learn up to 5 remote controls and 20 detectors (such as door magnetic sensors and infrared detectors).

Pairing Process (General):
- Access the 'Learn' or 'Pairing' menu on your main alarm host or directly on the PE-523 siren if used as a host.
- Activate the sensor or remote control you wish to pair (e.g., open a door with a magnetic sensor, trigger a PIR sensor, or press a button on the remote).
- The siren/host will confirm successful pairing, often with a beep or visual indicator.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Arming and Disarming
Use your paired remote control or the main alarm host to arm and disarm the system. When armed, any triggered sensor will activate the siren.
4.2 Alarm Modes
The PE-523 supports multiple alarm modes to suit different security needs:
- Sound and Light: The siren emits a loud sound and flashes its warning lights.
- Sound Only: The siren emits a loud sound without flashing lights.
- Flash Only: The siren flashes its warning lights without emitting sound.
These modes can typically be toggled or configured via the main alarm host or the siren's mode switch (Test/Day/Night). The alarm volume is ≤ 100dB within 10 meters.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Solar Panel Care
To ensure optimal charging efficiency, regularly clean the solar panel surface to remove any dust, dirt, or debris that may accumulate. A soft, damp cloth is recommended for cleaning.
5.2 Battery Management
The PE-523 features a built-in 1000mAh lithium battery that provides backup power. While solar charging is the primary power source, if the device is installed in an area with insufficient sunlight or during prolonged periods of low light, you can use the Type-C charging port to provide external DC5V/1A power. This ensures continuous operation and extends the battery life.

6. Troubleshooting
- Siren not activating:
- Ensure the power switch is ON.
- Check if the siren is properly paired with the alarm host or sensors. Re-attempt the pairing process if necessary.
- Verify that the sensors are functioning correctly and are within range.
- Check the battery level; if low, allow it to charge via solar panel or Type-C port.
- Low siren volume or dim lights:
- Ensure the battery is sufficiently charged.
- Clean the solar panel to maximize charging efficiency.
- Check for any obstructions blocking the siren's sound or light output.
- False alarms:
- Review the installation location and sensing angle to avoid triggering by pets, moving branches, or other non-threats.
- Adjust the sensitivity settings on connected PIR sensors if applicable.
- Difficulty pairing:
- Ensure both the siren and the device you are trying to pair are in 'Learn' or 'Pairing' mode.
- Confirm that the devices are within effective wireless range.
- Check for any strong interference sources (e.g., other wireless devices) that might disrupt the 433MHz signal.
