3.2. Connecting the Mouse
The LINGBAO M5 Series supports three connection modes: 2.4GHz Wireless, Bluetooth, and Wired.
- 2.4GHz Wireless Mode:
- Locate the 2.4G receiver (for M5/M5 Pro, it's a USB dongle; for M5 Pro Max/Max+, it's integrated into the charging base).
- Plug the 2.4G receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
- Turn on the mouse using the power switch on the bottom. Switch the mode toggle to '2.4G' or 'OFF' (if 'OFF' is the 2.4G mode for your specific model).
- The mouse should automatically connect.
- Bluetooth Mode:
- Turn on the mouse and switch the mode toggle to 'BT' (Bluetooth).
- On your computer or device, go to Bluetooth settings and search for new devices.
- Select 'LINGBAO M5' or similar from the list of available devices to pair.
- The Bluetooth indicator on the mouse will confirm connection.
- Wired Mode:
- Connect the mouse directly to your computer using the provided USB Type-C cable.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1. DPI Adjustment
The mouse features a DPI adjust button, typically located on the top or bottom of the mouse. Press this button to cycle through different DPI settings. The DPI indicator (if present) will show the current level. Some models allow six-speed adjustable DPI.
For M5 Pro Max/Max+ versions, the DPI range is 400-26000dpi. For M5/M5 Pro, it's 800-12000dpi or 400-26000dpi depending on the sensor.
4.2. Polling Rate
The M5 Series mice support various polling rates, with some models offering up to 8K (8000Hz) polling rate for silky-smooth operation and minimal latency. This provides fine positioning, high throughput, high concurrency, and anti-interference capabilities.

4.3. RGB Lighting (M5 Pro Max/Max+ with charging base)
Models with an RGB streamer integrated charging base allow for lighting control. Look for a 'light touch icon' on the base to switch light effects. A long press on this icon may turn off the light.

5. Maintenance
5.1. Cleaning
To clean your mouse, use a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, but ensure no moisture enters the mouse's internal components. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
5.2. Battery Care
The mouse uses a rechargeable battery. To prolong battery life:
- Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
- Charge the mouse regularly, especially if not used for extended periods.
- Do not expose the mouse to extreme temperatures.
6. Troubleshooting
6.1. Connection Issues
- Mouse not responding: Ensure the mouse is turned on and the correct connection mode (2.4G/BT/Wired) is selected. Check battery level.
- 2.4GHz connection unstable: Ensure the receiver is plugged in securely and is close to the mouse. Avoid interference from other wireless devices.
- Bluetooth pairing failed: Make sure the mouse is in Bluetooth pairing mode and your device's Bluetooth is enabled and discoverable. Try re-pairing.
6.2. Performance Issues (e.g., 8K Polling Rate)
To ensure optimal performance, especially when using the 8K polling rate, your computer configuration should meet the recommended specifications:
Image: Warm Tips for 8K polling rate, recommending PC configuration for best performance.
| Component | Intel Platform | AMD Platform |
|---|---|---|
| CPU | i79700K and above | Ruilong 3700X and above |
| Graphics | NVIDIA RTX2060 and above | AMDRX5700XT and above |
| Memory | 16GB and above | 16GB and above |
| Display: screen refresh rate above 240Hz | ||
If your system is below these requirements, the polling rate setting can be reduced for a better experience.

8. User Tips
- Optimize for 8K Polling Rate: For the best experience with 8K polling rate, ensure your PC meets the recommended specifications (high-end CPU, GPU, sufficient RAM, and a 240Hz+ display). If your system is lower, consider reducing the polling rate for smoother performance.
- Switching Modes: Familiarize yourself with the mode toggle switch on the bottom of the mouse to quickly switch between 2.4GHz, Bluetooth, and wired connections as needed.
- Magnetic Charging: Utilize the magnetic charging base for convenient and easy charging, especially for M5 Pro Max and M5 Max+ models.
- Customization: Explore any available client or web drivers for advanced customization of DPI, button assignments, and RGB lighting effects (if applicable to your model).
