3. Setup and Connection
3.1 Assembling the Stand
The scanner comes with an adjustable stand designed for hands-free operation. Attach the scanner to the stand. The stand can be adjusted up to 30 degrees to optimize scanning angles and reduce physical strain during prolonged use.

Figure 3: The adjustable stand allows for hands-free scanning and can be tilted up to 30 degrees.
3.2 Charging the Scanner
Before first use, fully charge the scanner. Connect the scanner to a USB power source using the provided USB cable. A full charge takes approximately 6 hours and provides up to 22 hours of continuous scanning time.

3.3 Connection Methods
The scanner supports three connection types:
- Bluetooth Wireless Connection: Ideal for mobile devices and short-range wireless operation.
- 2.4G Wireless Connection: Uses the included USB dongle for a stable wireless connection to computers.
- USB Wired Connection: Direct connection via USB cable for reliable data transfer and charging.

Figure 5: Illustration of the three available connection methods: Bluetooth, 2.4G Wireless, and USB Wired.
Wireless Transmission Distance:
- Bluetooth Mode: Up to 20m (66ft) in barrier-free environments, and up to 50m (164ft) in environments with obstacles.
- 2.4G Wireless Mode: Up to 15m (49ft) in barrier-free environments, and up to 25m (82ft) in environments with obstacles.

Figure 6: Wireless transmission ranges for both 2.4G and Bluetooth modes, indicating performance in barrier-free and obstacle-rich environments.
4. Operating Modes
The scanner offers three distinct scanning modes to suit various operational needs:
- Key Trigger Mode: Press the trigger button to scan a barcode. This mode provides precise control over when a scan occurs.
- Continuous Scan Mode: The scanning light remains continuously on, allowing for hands-free operation, especially when the scanner is placed on its stand.
- Auto-Sensing Mode: The scanning light is off until a barcode is presented in front of the scanner. Once detected, the light automatically activates to read the barcode, conserving battery life.

4.1 Data Upload Modes
The scanner supports two methods for uploading scanned data:
- Instant Upload Mode: Data is synchronously uploaded to your connected device immediately after scanning each barcode.
- Storage Mode: The scanner's internal 16MB memory can store up to 50,000 barcodes. Data can be uploaded in bulk to your device when needed.

5. Barcode Decoding Capability
The Eyoyo scanner boasts powerful decoding abilities, capable of reading a wide range of 1D and 2D barcodes, including those that are damaged or difficult to scan:
- 1D Barcodes: Standard linear barcodes.
- 2D Barcodes: QR Code, Data Matrix, Maxicode, Aztec code.
- Special Barcodes: Damaged barcodes, distortion barcodes, colorful barcodes, fuzzy barcodes, and reflective barcodes.

7. Maintenance
7.1 Cleaning
- Regularly clean the scanner's scanning window with a soft, lint-free cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the device.
- Keep the device free from dust and debris.
7.2 Battery Care
- Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently to prolong its lifespan.
- Charge the scanner regularly, even if not in constant use.
- Store the scanner in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.
8. Troubleshooting
- Scanner not connecting: Ensure the scanner is charged. For 2.4G wireless, check if the USB dongle is properly inserted and recognized by the computer. For Bluetooth, ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device and the scanner is in pairing mode.
- Scanner not reading barcodes: Verify the barcode is not excessively damaged or smudged. Ensure the scanner is in the correct scanning mode (e.g., not in auto-sensing if you expect continuous scanning). Check the distance and angle to the barcode.
- Data not uploading: In Instant Upload Mode, ensure a stable connection. In Storage Mode, ensure you have initiated the upload process from the scanner.
- Short battery life: Ensure the scanner is fully charged. If battery life significantly degrades over time, contact support.
9. User Tips
- For optimal performance, ensure the scanner's firmware is up to date (check manufacturer's website for updates).
- When scanning reflective surfaces, try adjusting the angle slightly to avoid glare.
- Utilize the auto-sensing mode with the stand for high-volume, hands-free scanning tasks to improve efficiency.
