2. Safety Information and Important Notes
- **Professional Installation Recommended:** Basic electrical wiring knowledge or experience is required. If you are unsure, please consult a professional electrician.
- **Power Off Before Installation:** Always cut off the power at the circuit breaker before installing or performing any maintenance on the switch.
- **Circuit Compatibility:** This switch supports only one-way/single-pole circuits. It is NOT compatible with 3-way circuits.
- **Load Type:** Applicable only to control lamps. Not recommended for use as other electrical breakers.
- **Wi-Fi Network:** The switch only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks. It is not compatible with 5.0GHz networks. Ensure your phone is connected to your 2.4GHz home network during setup.
- **Zigbee Gateway:** This smart switch requires a Zigbee gateway (hub) to function with the app. For best compatibility, use a Tuya gateway.
- **Reset Function:** The ON/OFF button can also be used as a reset button. Long-pressing it will restore the smart switch to factory defaults, erasing all settings. Only perform this if you intend to reset the device.
3. Installation Guide
3.1 Physical Installation
- **Turn off Power:** Locate the circuit breaker controlling the light switch you intend to replace and turn it off. Verify the power is off by toggling the existing light switch several times.
- **Unpack:** Open the package and identify the smart switch and the iron plate.
- **Secure Iron Plate:** Secure the iron plate to the mounting box using the two provided screws and a screwdriver.
- **Snap Switch:** Carefully snap the smart switch onto the secured iron plate.
3.2 Wiring Diagrams
Refer to the appropriate diagram below based on your electrical setup (whether a neutral wire is available or not).

3.3 App Installation and Setup
- **Download "Smart Life" App:** Search for "Smart Life" in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, or scan the QR code below to download and install the app. The app is compatible with iOS 8.0+ and Android 4.4+ devices.

- **Register/Login:**
- If you are a new user, enter your email address or phone number to receive a verification code and register an account.
- If you already have a Smart Life account, simply log in.
- **Add Zigbee Gateway:** Before adding the smart switch, you must add a Zigbee gateway (hub) to the Smart Life app. (Ensure your gateway is powered on and in pairing mode).

- **Add Smart Switch:**
- Ensure the indicator light on the smart switch is rapidly blinking (approximately 2 times per second). If not, long-press the ON/OFF button on the switch for 7-10 seconds to reset it and enter pairing mode.
- In the Smart Life app, navigate to your Zigbee gateway and select "Add sub device" or similar option.
- The app will search for nearby devices.
- Wait for the device to connect successfully.
- Once connected, the device will be added to your app.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Manual Control
The smart switch features a sensitive push-button design for direct manual control. Press the buttons to turn lights on or off. The gentle touch and ultra-quiet sound ensure a comfortable user experience.

4.2 App Remote Control
Once connected to the Smart Life/Tuya app via your Zigbee gateway, you can control your lights remotely from anywhere using your mobile device. Open the app, select your switch, and toggle its state.

4.3 Voice Control
The switch is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. After linking your Smart Life/Tuya account to your voice assistant, you can use voice commands to control your lights. For example, "Alexa, turn on the living room lights" or "Hey Google, turn off the bedroom lights."

4.4 Timing Control and Countdown
Automate your lighting by setting schedules and countdown timers through the Smart Life/Tuya app. This feature helps save energy and simplifies your daily routines.
- In the app, click the timer icon (or "setting timer").
- Select "add schedule" to create a new timed event.
- Choose the specific switch(es) you want to control.
- Set the desired timing rules (e.g., turn on at 7:00 AM, turn off at 10:00 PM, or a countdown for a specific duration).

4.5 Group Control
Control multiple smart switches simultaneously by creating groups within the Smart Life/Tuya app. Devices in the same group can be controlled together with a single tap.

4.6 Device Sharing

4.7 Restart States
The switch allows you to configure its state after a power outage. You can set it to restore its previous state (Power-on, Power-off, or Restart Memory) once power is restored.

- **Environmental Conditions:** Ensure the switch is operated within the specified working environment temperature and humidity ranges (-20°C~75°C, <95% humidity) to prevent damage.
6. Troubleshooting
- **Switch Not Responding:**
- Check if the circuit breaker is on and the switch is receiving power.
- Ensure wiring is correct according to the installation diagrams (neutral wire or no neutral wire version).
- If the indicator light is not blinking rapidly during setup, long-press the ON/OFF button for 7-10 seconds to reset it.
- **Cannot Connect to App:**
- Verify your home Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. The switch does not support 5.0GHz networks.
- Ensure your mobile phone is connected to the same 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network during the pairing process.
- Confirm that a Zigbee gateway (hub) is properly set up and connected to the app, as the smart switch requires it.
- Make sure the switch's indicator light is rapidly blinking, indicating it's in pairing mode.
- **Voice Control Not Working:**
- Ensure your Smart Life/Tuya account is correctly linked to your Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant app.

- **Lights Flicker (No Neutral Wire Version):**
- While this switch is designed to minimize flickering without a capacitor, ensure the load power is within the specified range (LED: 5-150W/Gang, Incandescent: 1200W Max).
- If flickering persists, consult an electrician.
