Daytime Running Light Function

The CY300 is designed to function as a daytime running light, increasing your visibility to motorists and pedestrians during daylight hours. This passive visible light uses a more dispersed beam to make you easily perceived by drivers, significantly enhancing safety and reducing the risk of accidents.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the light with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Waterproof Rating: The CY300 has an IPX6 waterproof rating, meaning it is protected against high-pressure water jets from any direction. It is suitable for use in rain but should not be submerged in water.
  • Storage: Store the light in a cool, dry place when not in use. If storing for an extended period, ensure the battery is partially charged (around 50%) to prolong its lifespan.

Troubleshooting

  • Light not turning on: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect to a power source and check the charging indicator.
  • Light not charging: Verify the Type-C USB cable is securely connected to both the light and the power source. Try a different cable or power adapter.
  • Light flickering or dim: This may indicate a low battery. Recharge the light.
  • Mounting issues: Ensure the handlebar stand is correctly installed and the light is properly seated.

User Tips

  • Daytime Use is Key: Utilize the daytime running light modes even during daylight hours. Studies show that using a warning light significantly increases a cyclist's visibility to drivers, reducing accident probability.
  • Regular Charging: For optimal performance and battery longevity, charge your CY300 regularly, especially after long rides. The battery level indicator helps you keep track.
  • Secure Mounting: Always ensure the light is firmly attached to the handlebar stand before riding to prevent it from falling off during bumps or vibrations.
