1. Introduction

The WISRETEC Digital Display Torque Meter is a high-precision electronic device designed for accurate torque measurement. 3. Product Overview

The torque meter features a clear digital display and intuitive button controls for easy operation. It is designed to be compact and durable for various working environments.

  • 'C' Button: Short press to power on/off, return, or clear.

4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the torque meter.
  2. Open the battery cover.
  3. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
  4. Close the battery cover securely.

4.2 Attaching to a Wrench

The digital torque meter is designed to be used with a standard ratchet wrench. Simply insert the square drive of the torque meter into the corresponding socket of your ratchet wrench. Ensure a secure connection.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Operation

  1. Power On: Short press the 'C' button to turn on the device.
  2. Backlight On/Off: Long press the 'U' button to toggle the display backlight. This is useful in dimly lit environments.
  3. Unit Switching: Short press the 'U' button to cycle through available torque units: N.m, lb.ft, lb.in, kg.m, kg.cm.
  4. Mode Switching (Peak/Track): Short press the 'P/T' button to switch between Peak (P) mode and Track (T) mode.
  5. Buzzer On/Off: Long press the 'P/T' button to enable or disable the buzzer.

5.2 Preset Torque Function (Peak Mode)

In Peak (P) mode, you can preset up to 10 different torque values (P0-P9) to meet various bolt and torque requirements. Use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust the preset torque value.

5.3 Alarm System

The device provides visual and audible alarms as you approach the preset torque value:

  • 80% of Preset Torque: The orange LED light flashes, and the buzzer emits a warning sound.
  • 90% of Preset Torque: The green LED light flashes, and the buzzer sound becomes more frequent.
  • 100% of Preset Torque: All three LED lights (Red, Yellow, Green) flash simultaneously, and the buzzer emits a continuous, urgent sound.

5.4 Data Storage

The torque meter can store up to 500 peak torque records in its memory. These records can be queried and selectively deleted at any time.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the display. Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
  • Storage: Store the torque meter in its original packing box in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Recommended operating temperature is -20°C to 70°C, and use humidity is 15-90%.
  • Calibration: For sustained accuracy, periodic calibration by a qualified technician is recommended.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your WISRETEC Digital Display Torque Meter, please consider the following:

  • Device not powering on: Ensure batteries are correctly installed and fully charged. Replace with new batteries if necessary.
  • Inaccurate readings: Check that the torque meter is securely attached to the wrench. Ensure the correct unit is selected. If issues persist, the device may require recalibration.
  • Display issues: If the display is dim, try toggling the backlight using a long press of the 'U' button. If the display is blank, check batteries.
  • Buzzer not working: Check if the buzzer is disabled by long-pressing the 'P/T' button.
