3. Device Overview
Familiarize yourself with the physical features and components of your UNIWA P8 device.


3.1 Buttons and Ports
- Power Button: Located on the side, used to power on/off the device or wake/sleep the screen.
- PTT (Push-to-Talk) Button: Dedicated button for walkie-talkie communication.
- POC Button: For Push-to-Talk over Cellular functionality.
- SOS Button: For emergency signaling.

3.2 SIM and TF Card Slots

4. Initial Setup
4.1 Battery Installation
- Ensure the device is powered off.
- Remove the back cover by gently prying it open from the designated notch.
- Insert the 5000mAh Li-polymer battery into the battery compartment, ensuring the contacts align.
- Replace the back cover, pressing firmly until it clicks into place.
4.2 SIM and TF Card Installation
- With the back cover and battery removed (as per 4.1), locate the SIM1, SIM2, and TF card slots.
- Carefully insert your Nano SIM cards into the SIM slots with the gold contacts facing down.
- If using, insert a TF (MicroSD) card into the TF card slot.
- Reinstall the battery and back cover.
4.3 Antenna Attachment
- Locate the antenna connector at the top of the device.
- Screw the provided UHF antenna clockwise onto the connector until it is finger-tight. Do not overtighten.
4.4 Initial Charging
- Connect the USB cable to the device's Type-C port.
- Connect the other end of the USB cable to the power adaptor.
- Plug the power adaptor into a wall outlet.
- Charge the device fully before first use. The RGB indicator light will show charging status.
5. Operation
5.1 Power On/Off
- To Power On: Press and hold the Power button until the screen lights up.
- To Power Off: Press and hold the Power button, then select "Power off" from the options on the screen.
- Screen On/Off: Briefly press the Power button to turn the screen on or off.
5.2 Walkie Talkie Function (DMR/Analog)
The UNIWA P8 supports both Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) and traditional Analog walkie-talkie modes on the UHF 400-470MHz band.
- Ensure the antenna is securely attached.
- Access the walkie-talkie application on the Android interface.
- Select your desired mode (DMR or Analog) and frequency/channel.
- Use the Switch Knob for channel selection or volume adjustment.
- To transmit, press and hold the PTT button. Speak clearly into the microphone. Release the PTT button to listen.
5.3 Push-to-Talk Over Cellular (POC)
