This manual provides essential information for the installation, operation, and maintenance of the Lenovo IdeaCentre Y900-34ISZ ATX Desktop Motherboard. This motherboard is designed for desktop systems and features a Z170 chipset with DDR4 memory support. Note: This product includes the motherboard only, without additional accessories. A CR2032 motherboard battery is not included due to international transportation regulations and must be inserted before installation.

Setup and Installation
1. Pre-installation Checklist
- Ensure you have all necessary components: CPU, RAM, storage devices, power supply, and a CR2032 battery for the motherboard (not included).
- Prepare your computer case by ensuring it is clean and has adequate space for the ATX motherboard.
- Gather necessary tools: Phillips head screwdriver, anti-static wrist strap.
2. Motherboard Overview
Familiarize yourself with the layout of the motherboard before installation.

3. CPU Installation
Warning: The motherboard's CPU socket pins are extremely fragile. Before leaving the factory, a CPU guarantee cover is added to protect the pins and prevent damage during transportation. Always open the parcel and check it before signing. If there is any problem, refuse to sign and let the courier return it.

- **Prepare the CPU Socket:** Press the iron button with your finger, move it to the right, and lift the iron frame up. Remember not to remove the black protective case at this stage.
- **Align the CPU:** The CPU has 3 buckles, and the corresponding motherboard card slot also has 3 buckles. Align the 2 fasteners on the left side of the CPU with the 2 buckles on the left side of the motherboard, and then gently put it down.

- **Secure the CPU:** Reinstall the iron frame and reinstall the iron buckle. The black protective cover will pop up automatically.
4. CR2032 Battery Installation
Locate the circular battery holder on the motherboard. Gently insert a new CR2032 coin cell battery with the positive (+) side facing up. Ensure it clicks securely into place.
5. RAM Installation
Locate the DDR4 memory slots (typically black and red, as shown in Figure 4). Open the clips at both ends of the slot. Align the notch on the RAM module with the key in the slot. Press down firmly on both ends of the RAM module until the clips snap into place.
6. Expansion Card Installation (e.g., Graphics Card)
Identify the appropriate PCIe slot (e.g., PCIe x16 for a graphics card, as shown in Figure 3). Open the retention clip at the end of the slot. Align your expansion card with the slot and press down firmly until it is seated correctly and the retention clip locks into place. Secure the card to the case with a screw.
7. Storage Device Connections
Connect your SATA storage devices (HDDs/SSDs) to the SATA ports on the motherboard using SATA data cables. Connect the power cables from your power supply to the storage devices.
8. Power Supply Connections
Connect the 24-pin ATX power connector from your power supply to the main power socket on the motherboard. Connect the 8-pin (or 4-pin) CPU power connector to the corresponding socket near the CPU.
9. Front Panel Connections
Connect the front panel headers (power button, reset button, HDD LED, power LED, USB ports, audio jacks) to their respective pins on the motherboard. Refer to your computer case manual for specific pin assignments if needed, or the small labels on the motherboard itself.
Operating Instructions
1. Initial Power On
After all components are securely installed and connected, connect your monitor, keyboard, and mouse. Plug in the power cable to your power supply and turn on the power switch on the PSU. Press the power button on your computer case.
2. BIOS/UEFI Access
During startup, repeatedly press the designated key (commonly DEL, F2, F10, or F12) to enter the BIOS/UEFI setup utility. Here you can configure boot order, system time, and other advanced settings. Save and exit to continue booting into your operating system.
3. Driver Installation
After installing your operating system, install the necessary drivers for the motherboard chipset, integrated graphics (if used), audio, and network. These are typically available on the Lenovo support website for your specific system model (IdeaCentre Y900-34ISZ).
Maintenance
- **Dust Removal:** Periodically clean dust from inside your computer case, especially from fans and heatsinks, using compressed air. Ensure the system is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.
