2. Setup

2.1 Unboxing and Package Contents

Carefully unpack your UNIWA HOPE XS17 phone and check for the following items:

2.2 SIM Card and Micro SD Card Installation

  1. Locate the SIM card tray on the side of the phone.
  2. Insert the eject pin into the small hole next to the tray to open it.
  3. Carefully pull out the tray.
  4. Place your Nano-SIM cards (up to two) and/or a Micro SD card (up to 64GB) into the designated slots on the tray. Ensure the metal contacts face downwards.
  5. Gently push the tray back into the phone until it clicks into place.

2.3 Battery Charging

  1. Connect the USB cable to the USB Type-C port at the bottom of the phone.
  2. Connect the other end of the USB cable to the provided power adapter.
  3. Plug the power adapter into a wall outlet.
  4. The phone will indicate charging. Allow the phone to charge fully before first use.

2.4 Powering On/Off

  • To Power On: Press and hold the Power button (usually on the side) until the screen lights up.
  • To Power Off: Press and hold the Power button, then select 'Power off' from the options on the screen.

  • Receiving a Call: When a call comes in, swipe to answer on the touch screen or press the green call button on the keypad.

Access the 'Messages' app to send and receive SMS/MMS. You can use either the physical keypad for T9 input or the on-screen keyboard via the touch screen for text entry.
