5. Product Overview and Function Introduction
The X3-Dimming panel features a central knob and four touch-sensitive buttons for comprehensive control.

- Button 1: Open/Close Knob (Power button symbol).
- Button 2: Brightness/Colour Temperature Switching Key (C/W symbol). The backlight will flash white three times when switching modes.
- Button 3: L1 Firewire Control Switch / Scene Button (Grid symbol, bottom left).
- Button 4: L2 Firewire Control Switch / Scene Button (Grid symbol, bottom right).
- Knob (Central): Rotate clockwise or anti-clockwise to adjust light brightness and color temperature.
Note: This device is designed to control sub-devices that are connected under the same Zigbee gateway.
6. Installation Instructions
6.1 Safety Precautions
- Installation or removal of this product must be performed by a qualified professional electrician to ensure proper use and safety.
- Always cut off the main power supply before installing or dismantling this product to prevent electric shock.
- Keep this product away from fire and water sources during installation and use.
- Do not use this product in wet environments, such as bathrooms.
6.2 Wiring Diagram
Refer to the diagram below for correct wiring connections. Ensure all connections are secure.

- AC.L: Connect to the live (fire) wire input.
- AC.N: Connect to the neutral (zero) wire input.
- L1, L2: Connect to the corresponding load firewire outputs. Each channel supports a maximum load of 500W.
6.3 Physical Installation
Follow these steps for physical installation into a standard 86-type wall box.
- Prepare the Wall Box: Ensure the electrical wall box is clear and ready for installation.
- Mount the Power Supply Unit: Secure the power supply unit (the back part of the switch) into the wall box using the provided mounting screws.

7. Operation Instructions
7.1 Initial Setup with Tuya Smart App
- Download and Open App: Open the 'Tuya Smart App' on your mobile device.
- Add Gateway: On the app's home page, select the '+' icon in the upper right corner to add a device. Manually add your wired Zigbee gateway or scan the QR code to bind it. The app interface will display 'Multi-function central control' or 'wired gateway' once successfully bound.
- Enter Network Mode: Power on the X3-Dimming switch. The knob light will illuminate. Long press any button on the panel for 5 seconds until the indicator white light flashes. This indicates the device has entered network pairing mode.
- Search and Add Device: The gateway will automatically search for and connect to the X3-Dimming switch. Once successfully added, you can customize the switch name (e.g., 'Living Room Dimmer Switch') within the app.

7.2 Panel Operation
- Knob Adjustment: Rotate the central knob to adjust the brightness and color temperature of connected lights.
- Button 1 (Power): Press to turn connected lights On or Off.
- Button 2 (C/W): Press to switch between brightness adjustment mode and color temperature adjustment mode. The backlight will flash white three times to confirm the switch.
- Buttons 3 & 4 (L1/L2 / Scene): These buttons function as local L1 and L2 firewire control switches by default. If configured in the Tuya Smart App, they can also act as scene touch switches to activate pre-set lighting scenes.
8. Troubleshooting
- Device not responding: Check power supply to the switch. Ensure the main power is on. Verify wiring connections are secure.
- Cannot connect to App: Ensure your Zigbee gateway is properly set up and connected to your home network. Confirm the X3-Dimming switch is in network pairing mode (white light flashing). Check that the switch is within range of the Zigbee gateway.
- Lights not dimming/changing color temperature: Ensure the connected lights are dimmable and support color temperature adjustment. Verify the switch is in the correct adjustment mode (brightness or color temperature) using Button 2.
- Scene buttons not working: Confirm that scenes have been properly configured and assigned to Buttons 3 and 4 within the Tuya Smart App.
- Intermittent connectivity: Check for potential interference with the 2.4G frequency band. Ensure the Zigbee gateway is not obstructed and is placed centrally.
9. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your X3-Dimming smart switch, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Gently wipe the surface of the panel with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish and electronic components.
