7. Lighting Performance

The CYC 1600 features a clear cut-off line design and precision lighting to ensure safety and visibility.

7.1 Cut-off Line Design

This design directs light downwards, avoiding direct glare into the eyes of pedestrians and oncoming vehicles. This significantly enhances safety for all road users during night cycling, providing a longer illumination distance and wider field of vision compared to ordinary bicycle lights.

9. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the light body and lens with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: Store the headlight in a cool, dry place when not in use. If storing for an extended period, charge the battery to about 50% every 3-6 months to prolong battery life.
  • Water Resistance: While IP66 waterproof, avoid submerging the light in water. Ensure the Type-C charging port cover is securely closed to maintain water resistance.
  • Battery Care: Do not attempt to replace the internal batteries. If battery performance significantly degrades, contact customer support.

10. Troubleshooting

  • Light not turning on:
    • Check battery level and charge if necessary.
    • Ensure the light is not in locking mode (refer to 'Anti-False Trigger Design').
    • Verify the wireless switch is paired and functioning.
  • Light flickering or dim:
    • Battery may be low; recharge the device.
    • Ensure the lens is clean.
  • Wireless switch not responding:
    • Ensure the wireless switch battery is not depleted.
    • Try re-pairing the wireless switch with the headlight (refer to specific pairing instructions if available, or contact support).
  • Mount not stable:
    • Ensure the extension bracket is securely tightened to the handlebar.
    • Verify the correct anti-slip mat size is used.
    • Make sure the headlight is fully clicked into the GoPro mount.
