4. Setup & Installation

4.1 Headlight Mounting

The CYC-1600 features a quick-release design for easy mounting and dismounting without the need for tools. Use the provided Bicycle Extension Bracket and appropriate non-slip mat (28mm, 32mm, or 35mm) to secure the headlight to your bicycle handlebars.

4.2 Wireless Remote Control Installation

Attach the wireless remote control to your handlebars using the provided rubber strap. Position it conveniently for easy access while riding.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off and Mode Switching

Use the buttons on the wireless remote control to manage the headlight's functions:

  • On/Off: Press the designated button to turn the light on or off.
  • Switching Light Gears: Cycle through the various lighting modes (Extremely bright, High beam, Med light, Low light, Fast flash, Slow flash).
  • Switching between Low and High Beam: Toggle between low and high beam settings for different riding conditions.
  • One-touch Extreme Brightness: Activate the maximum brightness instantly.

5.2 Remote Control Pairing

To pair the wireless remote control with the headlight:

  1. Ensure the headlight is in the power-on state.
  2. Quickly press the headlight's power switch button three times. The device's indicator light will turn green.
  3. Press any key on the remote control.
  4. The green indicator light on the headlight will go out, indicating successful pairing.

5.3 Intelligent Power Display

The headlight features an intelligent power display to show the remaining battery life:

  • In off state: Single click the power button to check battery level.
  • In on state: The power indicator will blink automatically every 3 seconds to show the current battery level (Green: 100-80%, Blue: 80-30%, Red: ≤30%).

5.4 Anti-touch Design (Lock/Unlock Mode)

To prevent accidental activation or deactivation, the headlight has an anti-touch lock mode:

  • Enter Lock Mode: In the off state, press the on/off button 3 times quickly until the power indicator lights up Red blinking Status.
  • Unlock Mode: In the locked state, press the on/off button 3 times quickly until the power indicator light is on Long green Status.

Note: For first-time use, please unlock the state first, as the factory default is lock mode.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Charging

The CYC-1600 headlight is equipped with a Type-C charging port for easy and fast charging. Connect the provided Type-C USB cable to the headlight and a suitable USB power source (e.g., computer, wall adapter).

6.2 Cleaning and Storage

  • Wipe the headlight body with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Ensure the Type-C port cover is securely closed to maintain IP66 waterproof rating.
  • Store the headlight in a cool, dry place when not in use.
  • For long-term storage, charge the battery to approximately 50% every 3-6 months to prolong battery life.

6.3 Waterproofing

The CYC-1600 has an IP66 waterproof rating, meaning it is protected against powerful water jets and dust ingress. It is suitable for use in various weather conditions, but avoid submerging it in water.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Headlight not turning on:
    • Check battery level and charge if necessary.
    • Ensure the headlight is not in lock mode (refer to Section 5.4).
    • Verify the power button on the headlight or remote is functioning correctly.
  • Remote control not working:
    • Ensure the remote control is paired with the headlight (refer to Section 5.2).
    • Check the remote control's battery (if applicable, though typically integrated).
    • Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the headlight.
  • Light output is dim:
    • Charge the battery fully.
    • Clean the lens if it is dirty or obstructed.

8. User Tips

  • Always ensure the headlight is fully charged before long rides to maximize endurance.
  • Utilize the cut-off line feature by adjusting the headlight angle to prevent glare for others, especially in urban environments.
  • Familiarize yourself with the remote control buttons before riding to safely switch modes without distraction.
