6. Operating Modes

The smart switch module supports three main operating modes: Inching, Self-locking, and Interlock. You can switch between these modes using the 'Mode Switch Button' on the module or through the eWeLink app.

6.1 Inching Mode

In Inching mode, when you turn on a device, it will automatically turn off after a set duration (typically 0.5-3600 seconds). This is useful for applications like momentary door releases or short-duration lighting.

Figure 6.1: Inching Mode operation. A device turns on for a set duration and then automatically turns off.

6.2 Self-locking Mode

In Self-locking mode, each channel operates independently. Turning a channel ON keeps it ON until you manually turn it OFF. This is suitable for controlling individual lights or appliances that need to stay on for extended periods.

Figure 6.2: Self-locking Mode operation. Each of the four channels can be turned on or off independently.

6.3 Interlock Mode

In Interlock mode, only one channel can be ON at a time. When you turn one channel ON, all other channels automatically turn OFF. This is ideal for applications like controlling blinds or garage doors where only one direction of movement should be active at a time.

7. App Control (eWeLink)

The eWeLink app provides comprehensive control over your smart switch module.

  • Smartphone Control: Turn devices on/off from anywhere using your phone.
  • Timing Function: Set schedules, countdowns, and loop timers for automated control.
  • Scene Mode: Create custom scenes to control multiple devices with a single tap or based on conditions.
  • 2-Way/3-Way Control: Configure multi-way control for lighting.
  • Share Control: Share control of your home appliances with family members or friends through the app.
