3.2 Charging the Scanner
- Connect the USB cable to the charging base.
- Plug the other end of the USB cable into a power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter).
- Place the barcode scanner into the charging base. Ensure it is seated correctly.
- The scanner will begin charging. An indicator light on the scanner or base may show charging status.

3.3 Connection Modes
The scanner supports two wireless connection modes: 2.4G wireless and Bluetooth. To switch between modes, scan the corresponding configuration barcode provided below. Ensure the scanner is powered on before attempting to change modes.

3.3.1 2.4G Wireless Mode
- Scan the "2.4G mode" configuration barcode (refer to Figure 3).
- Connect the 2.4G USB receiver (usually found in the charging base or included separately) to your computer or POS system.
- The scanner should automatically pair with the receiver. A successful connection is usually indicated by a specific sound or LED status on the scanner.
3.3.2 Bluetooth Mode
- Scan the "Bluetooth mode" configuration barcode (refer to Figure 3).
- On your host device (e.g., smartphone, tablet, computer), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
- Select "TEKLEAD T-3020pro" (or similar name) from the list of found devices to pair.
- Confirm pairing if prompted. A successful connection is usually indicated by a specific sound or LED status on the scanner.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Basic Scanning
- Ensure the scanner is powered on and connected to your host device via 2.4G or Bluetooth.
- Point the scanner's window at the barcode you wish to scan.
- Press and hold the trigger button. The scanner will emit a light beam.
- Once the barcode is successfully read, the scanner will typically emit a beep and/or flash an indicator light. The scanned data will be transmitted to your connected device.
4.2 Scanning Modes
The T-3020pro supports multiple scanning modes. To change the scanning mode, scan the corresponding configuration barcode (refer to Figure 3).
- Manual Scan: Press the trigger for each scan. (Scan "Manual scan" barcode)
- Auto-sensing Scan: The scanner automatically detects and scans barcodes when they are presented within its field of view, without needing to press the trigger. (Scan "Auto-sensing scan" barcode)
- Continuous Scan: The scanner continuously scans for barcodes without requiring trigger presses. (Scan "Continuous scan" barcode)
4.3 Offline Storage (Inventory Mode)
When operating in Inventory Mode, the scanner can store up to 150,000 barcodes internally without being connected to a host device. This is useful for inventory management in areas without constant connectivity.
- To activate Inventory Mode, scan the "Inventory mode" configuration barcode (refer to Figure 3).
- Scan barcodes as usual. The data will be stored in the scanner's memory.
- To upload stored data, connect the scanner to your host device and exit Inventory Mode (usually by scanning a "Normal Mode" or "Upload Data" barcode, if available, or by switching to a different connection mode). The stored data will then be transmitted. Consult the full manual for specific data upload procedures if not automatic.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
- Regularly clean the scanner's window with a soft, lint-free cloth.
- For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Do not spray liquids directly onto the scanner.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive materials, as these can damage the scanner's surface and optical components.
5.2 Storage
- When not in use, store the scanner in its charging base or a safe, dry place away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.
- Ensure the battery is not completely depleted for long-term storage to prolong its lifespan.
6. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Scanner not powering on. | Low battery. | Place the scanner in the charging base and allow it to charge for at least 30 minutes. |
| Scanner not connecting to host device. | Incorrect connection mode selected; Bluetooth not paired; 2.4G receiver not connected or faulty. |
|
| Scanner not reading barcodes. | Barcode damaged or poor quality; incorrect scanning mode; scanner window dirty; out of range. |
|
