6. Setup
6.1 Charging the Multimeter
The ANENG 615 Multimeter is equipped with a built-in rechargeable lithium battery. To charge the device:
Locate the Type-C charging port on the side of the multimeter (refer to Figure 6.1).
Connect the provided Type-C charging cable to the multimeter and a suitable USB power source (e.g., wall adapter, computer USB port).
The charging indicator light will illuminate during charging.
Once fully charged, disconnect the charging cable.

6.2 Connecting Test Leads
To prepare for measurements, connect the test leads:
Insert the red test lead into the "INPUT" positive input jack (9).
Insert the black test lead into the "COM" negative input jack (8).
For current measurements (up to 10A), insert the red test lead into the "10A" positive input jack (7).
Ensure a tight engagement with the multimeter jacks to prevent accidental disconnection.

6.3 Powering On/Off
To power on the multimeter, press and hold the power button (3) for 2 seconds. To power off, press and hold the same button for 2 seconds.

7. Operating Instructions
The ANENG 615 Multimeter operates primarily in auto-range mode, simplifying measurements. Use the Function Switch Key (5) and the Hold button (6) for specific operations.
7.1 General Measurement (Auto Range)
When powered on, the multimeter defaults to auto-range mode, automatically detecting and measuring common electrical parameters like voltage, resistance, and continuity. The display will show "Auto".

7.2 Specific Measurement Modes
Press the SEL (Function Switch Key) to cycle through different measurement modes if the auto-range does not select the desired function or for specific tests.
AC Voltage (V~): Switch to ACV voltage mode to measure AC voltage. The device will also display frequency (Hz) simultaneously.
DC Voltage (V--): Switch to DCV voltage mode and contact the positive and negative electrodes of the battery or circuit with the test leads.
Diode Test: Switch to diode gear. Align the positive and negative leads to test Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) or other diodes.
Capacitance (╂): Switch to the capacitor gear. Ensure the capacitor is discharged before measurement.
Buzzer (Continuity): Switch to the buzzer gear to test for continuity. An alarm sound indicates an unobstructed circuit.
Hz (Frequency): Switch to the Hz frequency mode to measure AC voltage frequency and display the duty cycle value.
Resistance (Ω): Switch to the resistance gear and contact both sides of the resistance with the test leads.
AC Current (A~): Press the SEL key to switch to AC current. Connect the multimeter in series with the circuit (e.g., light bulb) as shown in Figure 7.2. Must be measured in series!
DC Current (A--): Press the SEL key to switch to DC current. Connect the multimeter in series with the circuit (e.g., light strip) as shown in Figure 7.3. Must be measured in series!
NCV (Non-Contact Voltage): When AC voltage is detected, the meter sounds an alarm, and the screen simulation bar shows the induction intensity.
Zero FireWire (Live Wire Identification): Switch to Live mode. The screen shows "EF". Insert a single red test lead into the jack. If it's a live wire, an alarm will sound. If no response, it's a zero wire.

7.3 Data Hold Function
To hold the current measured value on the display, short press the "Hold" button (6). Press it again to release the hold function.

7.4 Flashlight Operation
To turn on the back flashlight, long press the "Hold" button (6). Long press again to turn it off. This is useful for illuminating dark work areas.

8. Maintenance
8.1 General Care
Keep the multimeter clean and dry. Wipe the casing with a damp cloth and mild detergent; do not use abrasives or solvents.
Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
Avoid dropping the multimeter or subjecting it to strong impacts.
8.2 Battery Maintenance
The multimeter uses a built-in 3.7V 700mAh lithium battery. Recharge it when the low power prompt appears on the display.
Use only the provided Type-C charging cable or a compatible high-quality cable.
If the multimeter will not be used for a long period, it is recommended to fully charge it before storage and recharge it every few months to maintain battery health.

"OL" Display: "OL" (Overload) indicates that the measured value exceeds the selected range or the maximum capacity of the multimeter. Switch to a higher range if available, or ensure the component is not open-circuited when measuring resistance.
